It's easy to use and takes up a very little space. When finished, just close it and lock it in place. I will be replacing my other punches with this type.

I appreciate a punch that actually tells you, in clear terms, the exact size of what it punches. That, along with the high quality of the punch itself is a big reason why EK is right up there among my favorite punch brands. I'm always baffled how some of these other brands will label their shapes with arbitrary sizing like, "Small" or "medium" which can mean almost anything. With this, you are getting a 1/2 inch diameter circle that cuts true to it's advertised size. I was actually looking for a 15mm circle punch as 15mm is a standard jewelry cabochon size, but settled on this 1/2 inch punch when finding a 15mm punch proved to be too difficult. The circles are slightly smaller than 15mm, but still close enough that the punched paper fits into the settings well enough. After I cover it with a glass dome, the size difference is not even noticeable.So in essence:To Jewelry people - Yes, you can use this for 15mm cabochon settings though it's not a perfect fit, it still works well enough for most situations and is worth it for the inexpensive price.To EK Tools or any other punch Manufacturers who may be reading this - Though I would prefer a true 15mm punch, I am still highly satisfied with this purchase. Consider making a 15mm punch, lots of folks would buy it!

Excellent punch. Don't really like the locking feature so I just rip that little piece of plastic out that does that. Used one for 2+ years and finally replaced it after it was starting to catch a lot. New one works great.

EK Tools punches are great products. I have the half inch and 3/8 inch circle punches and they get the job done easily. I really like the fact that they are not bulky, no excess space. And they do lock down flat, making them very easy to store. I have several die sets that can do what a lot of punches do, but I find a punch easy to grab and use versus having to drag the die cutting machine out and running the dies through. Punches work, and the EK Tools are ones to look at. I will be buying more.

We've only had this for a few days but already we've put it through it's paces. We're using it as part of a packaging process for products we manufacture and already it's punched probably more than 1000 holes from stickers, to thin paper, to heavy cardstock yet it seems to keep asking "what else ya got!?"The overall design has had some thought put into it - probably why they took the time to patent it. And while the outer housing is made from two types of plastic, the inner cutting "guts" are all made from die cast metal with three heavy, quality springs you'll always be able to count on to retract again and again. The cutter punch itself is beveled which makes the cutting easier, clean and accurate, unlike flat punches that can bunch up or tear the paper around the edges over time. You'll feel the quality the moment you pick it up and work it a few times. The cutter also has a handy little slide that locks it closed, reducing it's footprint for easier storage in a drawer or craft box. Plus, we love that it's made in Taiwan.Truly a quality product that far exceeded our expectations and was worth the few dollars more you'll pay than for a flimsy all-plastic one made in China. You'll be passing it down to your grandkids.Kudos, EK Tools! Thoroughly impressed and we'll definitely be back!

I resisted buying a circle (or any basic shape) punch, thinking it was spending money on something I could find a "workaround" for ..... for example, trace around a circular object, like a bottle cap, or the base of a pill container.Then - just cut out this circle by hand. Well, that is an OK system for one-off circles, but too much work for multiples, and also for me - not very tidy to cut out (wonky edges)So I gave this little punch a shot - and it works beautifully! It is so easy to use - I have a shaped punch but it's not much use if I need the hands of a 200lb bodybuilder to use it!This one - easy, smooth, sharp-edged circles every time!I HAVE found I use it quite a lot in my crafts, so I count this as a total "win" purchase. I will look into other sizes and probably buy from this brand again. Totally recommend this little punch!

A fantastic little office and craft tool. The die cutter is very high quality and true round. The hinge and lock mechanism work very smooth and sturdy. Works great on thick reflective tape with backing.The only consideration is how far into your material you need to cut the hole, as this can only place the center of the hole so far.

works well - locks when not in use - strong and solid itemif i want a circle with a border and image inside i print 1.3cm as if i print 1.2cm i have a white edge when cutting out - makes a little difference for certain designs - but if just cutting out patterned paper circles ect not a problem - used to 280gsm photo matt paper so far - good item - cuts well xt

The pricing is way too expensive. If your not n a hurry, go to Ali express and get it. It won’t even be half the price. It works well. But the first one I got was bent and I couldn’t use it, so I returned it and got a replacement.
