Your cart is empty.Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That master piece is then used to create a mould master. Once the mould master is created we use our high density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, light weight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high density urethane and not vacuum formed, "plastic" type medallions. - Medallions can be cut using standard woodworking tools to add a hole for electrical or a ceiling fan canopy. - Medallions are light weight for easy installation. - They are fully primed and ready for your paint. We purchased this medallion to cover a hole that was left when removing an older chandelier from a plaster ceiling. This was wide enough that we had plenty of room to liquid nail it to the ceiling. It is thin enough that we didn't need to change out the mounting screws. It was light enough that I was able to put some fast-drying adhesive on the back, and hold it up there with my arms over my head for ten minutes while it stuck to the ceiling. We then installed the light fixture which held it in place while the adhesive we applied cured on and calked the edges. From the floor, it sort of disappears into the ceiling above the chandelier and looks like it's been there forever. It accepted paint very well, no real touch ups or spackle necessary for us.

I have to scratch my head at some of the reviews. This is foam and light weight, but you may need to do a little more than just slap some glue on it to make it "stick". You may need to perform some minor sanding as one of the three I have had some primer splatter. The center hole may need to be adjusted for the electric box you are using. The medallion may not be 100% flat and thus may need some attention to get it flat to the ceiling.In addition to latex caulk, I add either finish nails (shot in at V formations) or use a couple of drywall screws to secure them flat to the ceiling. I then clean up the holes with drywall mud and caulk until the holes are no longer seen and the surface is even. After a coat of paint, its good to go.I do have another brand medallion that is made of plastic. That went up with latex caulk as the glue and did not need anything else. It is more plain than this brand and why I only used that one in one room.

The handpainted, ultra pure white finish is excellent and matched my ceiling exactly. I needed the position of my chandelier moved slightly and this 24" medallion covers the previous opening. Having saved money for plaster repair, I feel that the medallion's price was worth it.

This ceiling medallion adds just the right amount of detailing to perk up an otherwise plain ceiling in my boys room. It is the perfect size to accent the drum light we also bought here on amazon. The light we paired with it covers up the interior circle details, but I still love the way the outside adds some interest without being obnoxiously detailed and looking out of place.It was light weight & easy to install. We just put it up there for now w/o even nailing it down. The tension from the light fixture holds it in place plenty. I then caulked around the edges so there wasn't any gaps because in our old house, no surface is even, so the caulk helps hide that as well as helping hold it in place a little more. Overall, it's an inexpensive and subtle way to make the room look great! Hopefully little details like these will help distract the eye from our very uneven windows & walls, lol ;)

Received an item that has already been used. Instead of returning it I decided to attempt to paint over the imperfections. After applying paint and letting it dry the styrofoam reacted poorly to the paint and left bubbles and dents in places thus making it useless. Save your money.

The first medallion we ordered had a defect and we were quickly refunded our money and were able to order another. Although lightweight, it looks very solid. It was white but I painted it with my trim paint to get consistent shades. This is a 20†medallion and adds the perfect look without being too decorative.

We had to remove our old medallion, and needed another one too take place because the ceiling was messed up. This one is a great price, and is modern, but still classic. It was easy to install.

i wanted a medallion to finish my simple dining room chandelier without it looking too fussy and this one suited me well. It is very light but not flimsy. It was very easy to install although I did need to buy a longer lighting nipple for the chandelier to allow for the added thickness but that was easy to change. I had planned to caulk the edges but in the end decided it wasn't needed and I am very pleased with the final look of it.

Made of styrofoam so it’s lightweight, but very solid. I was a little anxious at first that it would break easily or not hold up, but it worked very well. I was able to customize its back in order to place it over some lathing. I was going to paint it but in the end liked it white, tho I may do so in the future. Also my standard fan base fit the hole perfectly. Very satisfied!

The moulding added a chic and elegant upgrade to our entryway light fixture. Easy to install, not heavy and well made. Happy with the purchase. We've had it for a year now.
