I got this to replace my burr grinder that I accidentally broke but never really loved mostly to bridge the time until I pick out a burr grinder that I might like better, but it's honestly gotten the job done well enough that I haven't had any urgency to keep looking. It's very simple of course, but I do think it works better than the old classic Krups electric grinders, which I'd say it's design-wise comparable to. I don't love that it can't be washed (instructions say to run dry white rice through it, which I did, but considering how that traditionally requires several rinses + boiling in order to be edible, I'm not entirely convinced of its cleaning properties here). I at least washed the lid and rubber bit by hand, but otherwise just trusting the rice. I like that I have some control over the grind size because it doesn't start pulverizing on the first go. I can open shake, keep going as needed, and end up with pretty even, not powdery, grounds. I also LOVE that, despite living in a super dry climate with the worst static electricity all winter long, when I pour the grounds out, they all go in the direction I'm trying to direct them. I rarely have anything left behind, and if so, a simple tap on the bottom usually takes care of it. No idea what science is behind this working so much better than the other options I've tried, but I can attest that it does!

It's a pretty simple design. I think it's a bit bulky and awkwardly shaped to store, but its not a huge deal breaker for the price in my opinion. It works wonders grinding up spices and also oats into a bit of oat flour when I'm in a pinch. It works well enough for coffee beans too. The top falls off occasionally in storage which is a pain from shuffling it around. Overall it's simple and easy to use. Not bad for the price.

The blades are not sharpened like most coffee grinder blades are, so caveat emptor.I weighed this grinder with the cap and it's only 495 grams (just over a pound) so don't expect miracles. I plan on using this low-power Huitban 300 Watt coffee grinder (Amazon ASIN B0DM1P41HX) mostly for spices as I already have a larger-sized coffee grinder for coffee beans.I like that this small electric coffee grinder is has a one-button operation and that it is easy to store because it's so small and light. There's a lot of plastic in this grinder, but that's OK for my light-duty use. I don't use the brush or spoon that came with this coffee grinder though. To help you make a good buying decision, here's what is printed on the label on the grinder (see attached images):- Multifunctional grinding machine- Model Number YMJ-001- Material: Stainless Steel + PP (polypropylene)- Rated voltage 110VAC- Rated frequency 50/60Hz- Rated power 150-300WattsNote that the rated voltage doesn't show 220V which is normally at 50Hz, so I think the sticker is either wrong or that it's just incomplete. Two certification symbols printed on that same label are:- 10 inside a circle is a statement by the manufacturer that the grinder should last at least 10 years without releasing harmful chemicals- Double square means the grinder is Class II double insulated so the DC voltage is isolated from the AC voltage and therefore they don't need a third ground pin

Gasket is munched and deformed allowing herbs to shoot out everywhere. If you really start grinding your herbs to turn to powder and then that powder goes everwhere. This is extremely dirty and pollutes the air with fine particles. Can not recommend this low quality product

I have wanted to find a herb grinder for awhile now. I even got a salt and pepper grinder by mistake thinking it could ground other spices. But I needed a specialized grinder. When I saw this grinder I was hoping it could do the job. And it does. I was so amazed. And it did it so fast, that I was amazed. If you have even grounded cinnamon sticks, you should it was so yummy and the smell was so awesome. I am planning on trying it on coffee beans and cocoa beans next. This grinder was pretty easy to clean. I used a paper towel and the small brush this product came with. It did a great job and was cinnamon free within minutes. No water was even needed.

All in all its a nice unit with one major exception. The blade for cutting the beans is about the most flimsiest one I ever seen. I truely was surprised something this nice with a blade that flimsy. For daily use, I doubt if the blade will last a year. I really wanted to like this. It looks nice on the counter. Doesnt make a mess and cleanup is easy. Yet I dont like that blade and in a year or so and it fails, then what? That is why only 4 stars.

I like to make my own spice mixes and my old grinder started having trouble with the hard spices like cinnamon and Star Anise. I just did a quick test grind and this one seems pretty good. It does require you use sufficient amount of spices or it will all just float on top, but with enough in it it works great.

This little grinder is powerful and grinds coffee beans well. It is not very large so it takes several times to grind enough beans for a 14 cup coffee pot. The issue I have with this product is the design. You cannot remove the part of the grinder that holds the grinds. There is no easy way to dump the grinds and the small spoon they include does not help. The unit does not come apart to clean. At this price point, the value isn't worth the money. There are many other units in this price range that are more user-friendly.
