Purchased this one as a replacement for a defunct previous electric wine bottle opener. This new one is quieter and runs a bit more smoothly than the old one (from "Meilo Creations", a brand which seems to be no longer available). I like the clear plastic at the bottom, allowing a view of the corkscrew doing its job, both extracting the cork, as well as ejecting it. Feels smooth in the hand, and the buttons operate easily. The handy foil cutter at the bottom stores back easily. (At first I thought it would be a nuisance thing down there, but it does readily clip back in and thus protects the bottom of the device from dirt, as well.) Only unknown is how long a set of batteries will last, since the opener is not designed to be rechargeable. I'll try to chart the number of bottles opened; if it's too low I'll try to remember to come back here and amend the review; for now I've used it 3x and all is well.

I got this as a Christmas gift! I love it. It’s super easy to operate& holds a charge for a long time. What a great value.The person who bought this for me has a really expensive wine bottle opener ( a totally different brand than this item) & her expensive wine bottle opener is so hard to operate. She admired this opener so much, I bought her one for her birthday. She loves it too!I’m giving these out for Christmas gifts this year! Love these.

I saw this device recently at a relative's house, and had to have one. It's an effortless way to quickly remove a cork, and I was pleasantly surprised at its price. These will make perfect Christmas gifts!
