My 9-year old grandson wanted to learn drums. This set at only $103 has everything an aspiring drummer could want. A stand for the pad, foot pedals, cymbals, rhythm tracks, speakers, lighted drumsticks of all things, and of course the drums. And best of all, headphones so he can hear what he's doing without the rest of the house hearing it. He is having lots of fun with this. It is easy for him to use and will give him a good idea of whether he will advance.

It's a great toy , but I wish it were more durable. The world went out on one drum fairly quickly. I ended up buying another one , and the too control panel came apart at the seem. Awesome while they lasted, wish they lasted longer.

Seemed pretty functional until the drum pads stopped working. I gave this to my grandson on Feb 4 for his birthday and by Feb 17 the drum pads stopped. I tried troubleshooting but couldn't find a reset button. Any help would be appreciated as the return date has past.

Such a neat idea. It doesn’t seem to allow you to press two drums at once so certain hits sound weird. I don’t think this would be great to learn how to drum because the spacing of a drum set is important but it is fun to play around with. Allows you to record and playback. Haven’t used the headphone function or hooked it up to a computer but those seem like neat add ons as well.
