Homes built after 1996 usually have 4-wire grounding connection points for dryers and ranges.

Got a new washer and the new plug didn’t push all the way into my old outlet. Knowing that was a fire hazard, I purchased this outlet for replacement. Plug fits perfectly now and presses all the way. Very easy to install.

up graded to bigger ac had to replace breaker and recipitical and i didnt think it was going to fit the box but it did with new cover looks good and works as should

Product is NOT standard receptacle white. Instead it is basically light gray, or call it very dirty white. Since white is really what differentiates this from name brand product, it was a disappointment. It would match reasonable to a stainless steel cover plate, but not a white one, especially if near the 120V washing machine plug.
