I've only used this one time but it worked well. The speed is good and it cut well through fairly thick cardboard. I am confused however, because there is a part included that I have no idea what it is or where it belongs on the unit. There are no instructions as to assembly. Perhaps the part, a flat metal foot, is for a different tool???

I needed to cut carpet tile and it worked great, and DeWalt batteries work fine.

As another reviewer already stated...this machine did the same thing to me...I lost both 1ah and 2ah batteries to this POS. This clipper phantom drains batteries to the point where they cannot be charged. It's unfortunate because I did like it before it killed my batteries.UPDATE:I wondered if this inability to charge these 'dead' packs had something to do with using the DeWalt Fast Charger...it is, as when I went to charge the 'dead' pack on the standard non fast charger it charged. So I think what is happening is the tool itself doesn't have any kind of internal BMS or battery monitoring, and it just phantom drains batteries to the point that the fast charger won't charge them. Still not good to get your battery packs that low and it's too bad I had to send back.

I bought this for my husband who is having trouble with his hands. He's not as strong as he used to be, but he still enjoys doing diy projects around the house. These clippers have worked out even better than I had hoped. They easily cut through many surfaces like cardboard, leather, carpet, laminate flooring, etc. It uses the same Dewalt batteries that go with his other tools.

The scissors work really good, the only problem is that if you leave the Dewalt battery in the scissors, it will drain the battery in about 3-5 days. My solution is to not put the battery until I'm ready to use it, otherwise it works great for cutting up cardboard, which I get a lot of every week.

Fits well with DEWALT 20V battery. I’m currently working on a project that requires a lot of cutting on acoustic panels, so the long battery life is a big plus and it feels more powerful than standard cutters. But for extended working periods I recommend using a smaller battery for better handling.

This is a nice cutting tool- And perfect for those who already have DeWalt 20v systems as you don't need to add a different battery and charger to use it.Cuts some pretty heavy materials with ease- Cardboard, leather, even carpet. MUCH less work than using scissors or a utility knife. Cuts are clean and nice looking.A great tool to expand your 20v tool collection!

I have detroyed few scissors while cutting cardboards. hands hurt everytime. MUST GET THIS if you are doing alot cuttings. just insert your dewalt battery and it lasts forever for use!!!!!! cuts with ease, I wish I knew this earlier. and price is super reasonable, I am buying this as gifts to friends as well coz people may not heard of this.

I first bought this cutting tool thinking it would make cutting stuff easier. To my complete surprise it also drains dewalt batteries of their energy and makes them unchargable. . I lost 2 small batteries to it. I left the battery in it and went to use it again. No juice. Not realizing what happened. Same thing happened with the other battery. Went to charge both batteries and no lights.Nothing. Don’t purchase this tool it will cost you more than it’s worth.

These electric scissors are well built and cut really good. They are easy to use and make projects simple and easy on the hands. Easy to recommend.

Work great for paper, cardboard, fabric, leather. Haven't been able to find something that these can't cut (besides metals obviously).Battery lasts a long time and I've been able to adapt my Ridgid battery to it!
