Had a horrible experience with buying used from another brand. The quality of the materials was poor and all 4 of the ones that I received were in unusable condition, so I had to return them. I was very skeptical of buying used again but the Elite Shade brand, restored my faith. The material quality was excellent. I ordered 4 and got more than 50% off because I ordered “non popular†colors like Forrest green and burnt orange. 3 of them were in near perfect condition with only small scratches on the base from where the previous owner fastened them to the base. The 4th was missing the lifting/lowering cord. I thought that would be an easy fix, so I accepted a $25 off offer from Amazon to keep it and take it somewhere for repair. After a couple of hours and lots of frustration, I was able to fix it (it involved drilling out metal sleeve where the tilting mechanism was in order to fish the cable through.). I don’t hold that against the product because I chose not to return it and now I know how to fix the others if the cord fails in the future. I would highly recommend buying these used.

I don’t understand why an umbrella would have 10-year fabric and a 6-month frame, but I appreciate how easy it was to set up and the solar lights are a nice bonus. They didn’t overdo it with the packaging but things were still packaged securely and my umbrella arrived in great shape. Nice, sturdy, water resistant canvas type fabric. Will re-review after I’ve had it a while.July 2024: We installed this with a railing mount bracket on our aluminum-baluster vinyl railing. It provides a nice amount of shade for our little deck and has withstood two tornado warnings with almost 30MPH gusts (with the umbrella tied shut, of course) this week. I will revise again after I have had it a while to add how it holds up over time.

We absolutely recommend the Umbrella gives a warm pleasant look during a sunny day. At night gives a lighting of Moonlight touch. I recommend the beautiful enjoyable Umbrella you will not regret. The only regret you will have is not buying one for yourself. Have a great summer!!

This umbrella is very well constructed with high quality materials. As importantly, EliteShade stands behind their product. I've had a number of these throughout the years, this is by far the best. No fade is real. Looks the same as the day I bought them. I would highly recommend!

TL/DR - beware what others are saying about the cheap metal used at the tilt joint - it crumbles into dust with almost no force applied!A great umbrella, in beautiful yellow fabric, arrived in time for my wife's birthday. The lights worked well and it fit perfectly at the table.But on the 4th use, with just a small puff of wind, the umbrella inflated, qnd... it snapped at the cheap pot metal tilt joint. The entire metal joint just gave way and crumbled into 3 pieces.Not a bend in the pole or a break at a joint or screw as you would expect from a big gust of wind. No, this is metal coming apart at the atomic level and breaking its bonds into dust and powder from a small gentle gust that couldn't even move the cloth napkins on the table at the same time.So I looked up Elite Shade here on amazon after hearing they had a good response time for similar issues, and contacted them hoping I could get a new tilt assembly sent out soon.But nothing. Not even crickets chirping here for any of my queries to them about how to service this new umbrella, that is, alas, outside the 30 day return window...Hoping to hear something.. anything... from them on how to replace parts of it.

I was worried to purchase after several of the reviews but decided to buy it and keep the box in the garage for a bit. No need to worry. Worked out of the box. I knew the light button was up high (we're really tall so not an issue) and the crank was under the umbrella (it's that way on our other umbrellas too.) This is our first lit umbrella. We have it for a dining room table. Not too bright but provides enough light to sit outside and enjoy a meal. Only compliant is that the fabric arrived a little wrinkly but hopefully it will soon work its way out. We got burgundy and color is as pictured. I would have liked it to be a little richer - it's a dull, rusty burgundy but again, it was as pictured so I can't complain about that. Other reviews mentioned sturdiness. I feel like it's sturdy enough. We've had it outside for a few weeks with no problems (and some high winds in Virginia Beach). We have a super heavy duty umbrella stand for it though and it's also in a heavy table.
