The filter itself is fine. But ... Anyone replacing this filter for the first time should be warned that the electrical wall plug is directly behind the filter and you and the outlet will be doused with water when it's removed, even with the water main shut off. You should isolate the electrical cord and outlet with a cloth. Also - none of the Elkay instructions for resetting the filter counter actually worked, and Elkay tech support was "not available" every time I called for assistance.

I just purchased a 3 pack in September and usually they last 3-4 months, and currently they last a month. Water in this community hasn't changed. Number of clients are still averaging what they've been. And this particular purchase, the filters are shorter and not lasting. Although they state they'd provide 3000 gallons, I feel its not. Maybe I'm purchasing a filter with less than I usually get but isn't this the highest gallon amount for a filter?

This was our 4th order and filters arrived 24cm long instead of usual 30cm length - same label, same code, even same carton size - just 20% smaller - we sent them back and will not order again unless Amazon can supply correct original sized filters.
