These Router Jig Circle Inlay Templates are cut exactly at four inches square. I also measured the thickness with my calipers, as you can see in one of the photos, they measured 17/64. 16/64 is exactly 1/4 inch so these are about 1/64 larger than promised.They are nicer than any other templates I have in my wood shop. If HXLPAY makes all their acrylic templates with this quality, I know where my new templates will be coming from in the future.They came well protected with a thin layer of plastic film over them to keep them scratch free. The little brown box they came in is as good as anything to store them in too.These are going to be great in my shop.

Even the picture's provided don't give a full picture of how little space there is to properly anchor this template. My plan was to use the largest (3") template to route a decorative half-circle in some wood. There's so little space along the edges, I don't see any way to easily anchor it with double-sided tape (and clamps would be completely impossible). The only reason I don't return them is I can still get some use out of them by drilling holes in the jig, anchoring it with screws to some oak, and make a permanent jig out of the oak. Thus I describe them as "barely" usable.

These are an extremely nice set with perfect corner radias when used with template routing bushings.It's a common shape used in many woodworking projects these days, and this template set allows you to perfectly fit the butterflies of wood, brass, or plastic.These are a full 1/4" thick acrylic. Which is about as high of quality you can get for templates like these.This is an excellent set at an excellent price. Highly recommended!

As the photo shows, there are a set of ovals in a variety of sizes. with double-sided tape you can put one of these where you need it to cut an inlay. The templates are perfectly clear so you can position them precisely if you are routing out a defect or need them to line up. There are some scales and size information engraved in the templates, but I wish they had added centerline markings. Maybe in the next revision?Note that when they ship, there is the usual protective film on one side, so they appear slightly opaque rather than clear. When you remove the film, they are crystal clear.

I'm just getting into using a router and have been toying with a number of different uses. This let me experiment with this kind of joinery using the butterfly/bowtie shape, and I'm still getting used to it. It seems good for my learning purposes, and I'll update as I learn more!
