  • Remove the lid from your Ember Mug. Next, we recommend removing the silicone band so you can wash both pieces separately. Also, we recommend periodically removing the slider to clean underneath. All Ember Lids are dishwasher safe.

  • Ember maintains your chosen temperature for up to 1.5 hours with the Ember Mug 10 oz, up to 80 minutes with the Ember Mug 14 oz - so your hot beverages stay perfect.

  • Mugs include a stainless steel core, scratch-resistant coating, advanced lithium-ion battery, and dual-band microprocessor controlled heating system. Lids are made from BPA free plastic.

  • To add the Sliding Lid to your mug, press the Sliding Lid onto your Ember Mug until the silicone ring is no longer exposed.

  • Squeeze the tabs beneath the slider while pushing through the lid until the slider is removed. Place your selected slider so that the tabs line up and the Ember logo is facing upright. Next, simply push the slider until it clicks into place.

I bought this lid to use with my 14 oz metallic Ember Mug2. The quality of the lid is good. It fits my mug really well. The silicon o-ring makes the fit nice and snug. And it’s easy to clean. I find it keeps my coffee hotter throughout the mug, instead of the coffee just being hotter at the bottom of the cup more than the top. And it also preserves a little battery life. All that being said, I would call the lid more splash-proof than spill-proof. When my mug tips over, liquid leaks from the closed sippy slider on top of the lid. It leaks out slowly, but when it’s coffee spilling into and the cup holders in the center console of your car, any amount is problematic. Also, if my mug dropped onto a hard surface, I’m pretty sure the lid would pop off. So yeah, not spill-proof, but definitely splash-proof because the lid fits nice and snug. Overall, though, this is a very useful accessory for an Ember mug, and I’m glad I decided to buy it.

Fits very tightly, it's difficult to turn once on in case you need it at a different position. Holds the heat in, I get at least an extra hour battery life from my mug with this on. I really appreciate that it came with different color sliders, we have other travel mugs that look similar but don't fit this, so I was happy to be able to change the slider to red to easily distinguish without having to try each one.

I would highly recommend getting the lid for your Ember mug. It seems to extend the battery life of my mug. I like that the slider piece easily pops out to wash. It also came with three color sliders (black, white, and red). Fits perfect!

fits perfectly and is secure, comes with 2 extra lips (white & red) and adds an extra layer of keeping my coffee warm, worth every penny , easy on and off and easy clean

If you drink your coffee black, you probably don't need this.I can't tolerate black coffee. I always have a lot of milk to counteract the acidity and bitterness of coffee. I'm also a slow coffee drinker, which is why I purchased an Ember 2 mug.The problem is that the Ember 2's heating, if you don't have this lid, inevitably creates an unpleasant skin on top of the coffee. It's just an unavoidable consequence of milk's properties and the heat.This lid completely prevents that. Even when I've got a tiny puddle of coffee left in the mug, it's still the perfect temperature and there's no skin. It's not the insulation, though I'm sure it helps, it's got to be that it's preventing moisture loss.It also makes cleaning the mug easier, because there's no baked-on coffee residue on the sides of the mug.The main drawbacks are that it's difficult to clean, and it's pricey for a bit of plastic with a rubber gasket. There's a tab that you can slide shut, and there are crevices in the indent for that tab that retain a little bit of coffee that are too tiny to clean easily.I've been soaking the lid after use, and that seems to work. If I could afford a ton of these I'd just stick them in the dishwasher, but since I have just one lid I need to clean it every day.

The lid is a terrific addition to an Ember mug. It is very easy to use and clean. It keeps the coffee hot for a longer time, and prevents the buildup of milk scum on the coffee surface. It also eliminates any spillage when carrying the mug from room to room.

I’m so happy with this product! Fits my 14 oz Ember mug perfectly! I like to sip my coffee slowly and the lid has extended the battery time when off the charging coaster! Comes with 3 different colored sliders. (Red,black,white) Very good quality product.

Ember Sliding Lid - fits nicely on my ember mug and helps to keep my drink warm. It also prevents a skin from forming on my drink. It does add height to the rim of the mug so takes a bit of getting used too but I now use it all the time.
