Your cart is empty.The PA2 is a straight booster preamplifier mounted on a minitoggle switch. Perfect if you want to just plain overdrive the input of your amp for distortion. It has a trim pot so you can preset the amount of boost up to an additional 20 dB. The PA2 will also work with passive pickups.

After measuring for fit into my guitar, I installed and it works great ! I was able to adjust the boost right where I wanted it. Fantastic Product, Thanks EMG

Overall it's pretty cool, the biggest letdown is probably the fact that it doesn't add as much gain as you think it would, especially if you're already on the dirty channel, but it does fuzz up/warm up your sound, which is pretty awesome, gave me some Sabbathy vibes.It's also pretty long and didn't actually fit in my sg, so I had to leave the back panel off which is kinda annoying.

EMG is usually top notch products. However, the first pa2 I bought broke. The lever snapped right off. The second one I bought seems to be holding up just fine, and has been for around 8 months. I would recommend this peamp. Just don't be too rough with it.
