Purchased the Eminence Professional Series Kappa Pro 12A 12" Pro Audio Speaker, 500 Watts at 8 Ohm, to upgrade a bass cab that tended to flub out on low bass notes. After installing this speaker in that cab, I immediately noticed greatly improved performance in that range. Visual surveillance revealed the appearance of a high quality product, and although looks don't necessarily translate into high performance, in this case it certainly did! Totally satisfied with this speaker, and should a need arise for another 12" speaker for a bass application, I would not hesitate to get another.

These speakers are heavy real heavy; if you are using TH as I am by some back braces you will need them. Its frame is almost one inch thick. If you are using a flush mount cabinet these will stick out about a quarter of an inch. Power handle ability is great and even though they are tuned more towards 45hz on the low end they can hit the 20hz or 35hz but not as loud as the 45hz which they are tuned for. They widen the range of any cabinet making it louder and clearer. Great for PA; if you have a pastor who likes volume he will love these babies. I am impressed with a speaker finally after many years.

My Paradigm Basecube 12 failed. That was a 650 watt speaker powered by its internal amp. I have two and replaced the bad one w this. Put it next to the other and can tell this one works but is not as good as the original. It distorts at about 75-80% volume to the one. I am satisfied and will keep it since $150 is pretty good. I suspect it would cost 4x that for an OEM replacement. I found it entertaining that what I thought was the magnet in the photo is actually just rubber. Not sure why they do that. Also, although they put nice looking banana clip/screws to mount to the wires had defective split washers that wouldn’t allow me to fully screw them down.

Been using eminence speakers for 30 years and a very familiar with this particular model. Speaker arrived.with no damage and works as expected

This driver has a solid, clean sound in the low frequency range. It can handle some serious power. I used these to upgrade a pair of entry level Yamaha full range cabinets. Wow what a difference!

Have an old pair of Peavey stage monitor speakers. While I love the size of them, they didn't have a very solid sound. I bought two of these Eminence speakers (500W) to replace the 65W Peavey speakers, and the Eminence sound just amazing. I also put a bass port on the cabinet, and use the rheostat on the cabinet for local volume control.

I received the speaker in a couple of days. Much sooner than promised. It was packaged very well and received without any damage. I installed the speaker right away and used it that night at a job. Great value, price and above all it was received quickly and undamaged. Thank You!!

Finally my bass rig came to life! It replaced the stock eminence speaker in a Yorkville 115. I would like to buy another and run 2 separate 15 cabs, but honestly if I needed to be that loud, I might as well go direct into the PA subs.
