KITE LINE - Braided Dacron
Dacron kite line (also as polyester), the most used kite line for single line kite flying, is built to combine unique properties of

Of excellent performance, the braided Dacron line by EMMA KITES is allowed to be intended for general lashing, tie-down, rigging, stringing applications, versatile in both indoor and outdoor applications: kite flying, camping, backpacking, hammock, gardening repair, handcraft, spinnaker sheet, foredeck netting, etc.
Recommendation on how to choose kite lines
It's crucial to have the appropriate kite lines for your precious kites.
Kite lines are based on both kite sizes and wind ranges.
The bigger the kite, the stronger the wind, and the higher the tensile strength of kite lines is required.
Here are general recommendations for choose of kite lines: fly in the wind range below 12MPH, delta kites measured in wingspan.
- 50lb: ~7 Ft Delta
- 120lb: ~9 Ft Delta
- 200lb: ~13 Ft Delta
- 300lb: ~15 Ft Delta
- 500lb: ~20 Ft Delta

The Emma Kites 500-lb. Dacron Line is excellent for flying my large hard pulling single line kites. I use it on my Premier Kites Killip 45 Foils and my Power Sled 36 kites. The Orange color is easily seen on the ground and helps avoid people getting tangled in it tripping on it in the field.I have bought other sizes (#) of Dacron line from Emma Kites in the past and they have not failed me yet.

Good quality line at a good price. The line is soft and strong, and I use it mostly for projects around the house. It would be nice if there were some other color options, such as high-visibility orange, but for the price and quality I can't really complain.

Using for lightweight guy lines on backpacking hammock tarps and tents. Like how it knots and the ends melt. Wish it was solid orange for visibility but no stars deducted because I could see what I was buying. I hate when people complain about a product because they didn't look at the pictures or read the description... anyway, so far so good.

Its really great, just make sure you get the right line for the right sized kite. My kite was slightly too small for this line (which was a bit heavy) on windier days though, worked like a dream, great quality.
