UHMWPE Cords yield extremely high strength (15x stronger than steel by weight ratio) in a compact size and lightweight. Compared to utility cords or mil-spec paracords made of nylon/polyester, UHMWPE cords are much lighter and far less bulky, convenient for outdoor carry, and easy storage with spools.
Unbeatable Durability
As high-tech performance cords, UHMWPE has unbeatable durability in excellent resistance to UV, chemicals, abrasion (comparable to Kevlar), almost no absorption to water, advanced cords for both home and outdoor uses, superior substitutes to steel wires, especially in water use.
No Creep
Being of very low stretch, and highly resistant to creep, to flex-fatigue, UHMWPE cords have a better tendency to keep strength and retain shapes under loading. Fast to deliver responses from kites for better controlling and performing actions. Longer service life, and much reducing replacement frequency for your most works.
8- or 12-strand Braid
Of 8 or 12 strands hollow braid, and inherently self-lubricating, MICRO cords are easy to use and made to suit most hardwares.

Due to its high durability and unbeatable resistance to abrasion, UV, chemicals, UHMWPE provides endless solutions in outdoor applications, especially in marine uses.
Available in 0.8mm, 1.0mm diameter for uses in:
- Whipping twine: whip around rope ends to prevent natural fraying; Lock spliced eyes for extra security;
- Durable stitching thread: especially for MYOG webbing products;
- Sewing thread and repair cord: for heavy canvas, tarps, backpacks, load-bearing equipment;
- Emergency fishing line and utility cords outdoors.
How to seal the end?
- Heat cut the cord and the end will self-sealed.
- Use whipping twine to whip the cord/rope ends or spliced eye for extra security.
About Color Fastness
- UHMWPE fibers don't take dye very well, and it’s normal that the color will fade after exposure to water, frictions, and handlings overuse.
- HMPE CORDs keep high performance that won’t be influenced by color fading.

I've used these to separate glass that was glued to a frame. I'd bet they will work great for windshields too. I'm also using them for lanyards for my pocket flashlight and probably other things soon. When stressed, the black color seems to turn slightly white, but still holding strong for multiple repeated uses. Would buy again and likely try a thinner version later too.

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

This cord seems strong and it is very lightweight. I bought it to make tarp guylines, but it was too thin to splice.

If you need whipping twine that absolutely, positively won't break, this is it! Small enough to sew through your lines and wicked strong!

Unlike the curved plastic ball thrower we are all familiar with, a Shepherds Sling is both acurate and makes for some long throws. This cord makes a strong lightweight sling that I store in my wallet. The cord is easily spliced so no obvios knots visible. Everyone at the dog park wants mine so I have ended up making many of them. This is my second spool.

Backpackers!!! Great cord for UL bear bag hanging. Highly visible for its size, very strong, and most importantly it's slick so slides over tree limbs easily. Be careful what size you purchase. Smaller diameters cut into tree limbs when a heavy weight is on the business end.Not good for tying hitches- like tautline hitch, but that's not what it's designed for
