The cup that you put the herbs in hot water in is not big enough to make an 8 ounce cup of tea. More like 5 to 6 ounces. Other than that, drainage was amazing and I didn’t get any herb residue into the bottom when I push the button. I just wish there was some more depth.

The mechanism really is pretty magical. The magnet is pretty far away from the stopper but it still manages to work pretty well. I've found that you need to reset the mechanism before using it. Sometimes the stopper can get jostled around a bit and doesn't seat right. Basically move the magnet up and down before using it.Not much to complain about. As far as I can tell everything that touches water is either glass, metal, or silicone. Tea is what you'd expect. You put good tea leaves and water in you're going to get good tea out.

This is a really nice tea dispenser. It feels much safer to use than the plastic ones that are out there. The tea colors also won't stain since it's glass. I also like that there is a button to press so that the tea comes out. I ended up returning for 2 reasons. It's very expensive for what we're getting and I realized it's not worth the price. Also, I don't like that the tea steeping portion can hold less water than the jug itself. It felt like doing more work.

This is the best loose tea brewer I have ever had. Incredible control and beautiful to look at. This is much better than a tea ball because it allows the tea to fully expand and yet contains it in a way that is very easy to clean. Much better than the long cylinder filters. The glass chamber allows you to enjoy watching the expansion and color change. Being able to release a few drops or small stream at a time is great for sampling how long to brew a tea you haven’t had before. The other loose tea brewing pots I’ve had don’t have that control. It’s all or nothing.This is a joy. So glad to have it.

Item says it has an "Elegant... wooden handle" and it's plastic. Same with the lid. Was really disappointed in that. Will be returning and getting a different pot that used real wood.
