My dealer serviced 04 2.0 golf with automatic trans was experiencing some engine slop and despite all rubber being in good shape with no dry rotting or cracking I opted to go with this kit.Now despite the ad and most other manufacturers listing this for the manual transmission models only, this kit fit my torque arm assembly perfectly. I opted to go the hybrid setup and utilize the body mount bushings on the rear of the arm and keep the front donut bushing factory. I chose this to see if I would be happy with this level of performance for a daily driver before pressing the old bushing out and putting the poly one in. I had read many reports that replacing the front donut bushing on the arm with the poly unit was overkill for a daily driver. What I can tell you is that my front factory bushing was in good shape and with the rear bushings replace with these poly units, WOW! !!! The difference is amazing. Engine slop is completely gone. Shifts are much more crisp. Cabin noise and vibration increased slightly at speed and moderately at idle. This for me is more than acceptable as I prefer feeling what the motor is doing. The increase in vibration is by no means unbearable.What an improvement!

These are noticeably stiffer than stock rubber mounts. Fixed my bouncing engine when pulling out, but it does vibrate the dash a little at idle. I think I'm going to go with a hybrid half rubber, half poly.

They are extremely stiff. Made my whole car rumble... alot... until I gave it a little throttle. My rear on frame side are in great shape so i put those back in. ended up just using one. But Worked perfectly. And no more rumble.Overall. I would not put this whole kit on your daily.

Why WOULD you want to see the mounts splitting with just standard installation??!?

great replacement, great product. Feels good. Mk4s are getting old. This was an excellent replacement for my worn out rubber bushings. No problem installing; fitment was spot on.

Only replaced the subframe bushings. Measured 70A on my durometer. Torqued the bolt holding the mount together to 35 ft-lb.Vastly reduced engine jerk and fixed the occasional second gear grinding. Minimal vibrations after weeks of install.

First off these are good bushings, well made and do exactly what they are designed to do. With that said, they are poly so they are stiff... like I can't even describe how stiff they are. After install they immediately fixed all slop in my shifts and transferring power to the drive wheels incredibly well. With that said at idle the vibration was unbearable, literally would shake my coffee out of the cup holder. If you want performance these are what you need, if you want drivability please stick with OEM rubber.

Quick and easy install definitely firmer then stock rubber. Seems to do the trick.

Easy to install, no issues. Adds a lil’ more vibration at idle (as expected), but works as it should 10/10 recommended mod for your mk4
