Good quality rubber eliminates the creaking noises in the back of my car. I love this type of new material as the ride is much smoother. The installation is not for the novice but if you're handy you should be fine.

My 1997 Camry is quiet when going over bumps again!These go on what is called the "strut rod" in the factory service manual. Or as others have stated the "trailing arm".The old bushings on the axle carrier came out pretty easy with a ball pean hammer and punch. The new ones were tight going in and required using the nut, bolt and an extra washer to compress the two halves into the axle carrier.On the rod (or arm), it was a little tricky. We had to use a hydraulic press to get the old bushings out. But again. The new ones went in easily.The kit comes with an ample amount of grease to help you put it all together. The whole process took about 45 minutes.Making this deal even better, I bought a "used" set through Amazon Warehouse Deals for $10. The box wasn't pretty, but the bushings and grease were in a sealed bag inside along with the instructions. I make it a habit to check the Warehouse Deals whenever poasible. You never know what you may find.

Disappointed with the item description. These are NOT CONTROL ARM BUSHING but for the trailing arm. Beware when buying. The description of the item is absolutely wrong. The picture is generic, the real bushings are close to the short fat ones with the metal sleeves in the picture, but with one side lip only and there are 8 pieces all together. Also they are not control arm bushings but actually trailing arm bushings, they go at the bottom of the spindle. The positive side of this kit is that it fits camry models from 88 to 98. Keep in mind that you will only need 4 bushings per vehicle. They fitted perfectly on my 88 Camry wagon and my 94 model LE 4 cylinder.

Love the split design of the bushings. I replaced the old and degraded rubber bushings in the rear trailing arms and knuckles on my 2001 Toyota Camry with these. The split design makes reassembly a breeze. They've been installed now for a month and the rear end feels solid again and the best of all; no more annoying creaks and noises.

not control arm bushings but the ones you need for spindle they will fix the loud banging in the rear suspension

When replacing the rear trailing arms on my 99’ Toyota Solara, one of the old bolts seized in the old bushing. I was glad to find this item. It takes a little effort to squeeze the bushing into that circular housing under the rear wheel but that’s cause it’s a perfect fit. The price was pretty good and I like that they include a small tub of lube. The lube is wierd because it’s sticky but I used it.
