Visual Inspection

1. Rubber to Metal Bonded Mounts

The mounts must be properly secured to do their job. Check to see that the stud on the mount is not forced to one side of the hole or slot. Also check the studs for shiny spots, as this indicates there is a problem. Look for separation or cracks between metal and rubber: when you see separation between the metal and the rubber bond portion of the mount, it should be replaced. If the rubber portion of the mount has cracks, it should be replaced. If the metal is cracked around a bolt hole, the metal could separate andit should be replaced.

2. Hydraulic Mounts

Look for a collapsed mount with signs of leaking hydraulic fluid. This will affect the height and position of the engine or transmission and put undue stress on other related components.

3. Vacuum Actuated Mounts

Look for a collapsed mount. You will experience excessive vibration at idle if this mount has collapsed and failed. This will affect the height and position of the engine or transmission and put undue stress on other related components.

4.Torque Strut Mounts

Look at the bushings in the torque strut for looseness and wear. The adhesion ofthe inner bushing to the torque strut mount and bracket wear out over time due to constant torque and extreme engine heat.

5. Electronic Sensor Mounts

Look for a computer code error message indicating a failure. You will experience excessive vibration at idle if the mount has a failed electronic sensor.

6. Center Support Bearings

Look at the bushings in the torque strut for looseness and wear. The adhesion of the inner bushing to the torque strut mount and bracket wear out over time due to constant torque and extreme

engine heat.

These are great mounts for the price, all the materials felt very durable, and the fitment was perfect! The reviews that say the fitment is wrong clearly did something incorrectly. keep in mind when installing these that if your old mounts are very worn, the new ones might hold the engine in a slightly different place, and when changing the mounts the engine will naturally shift a little bit so some prying and elbow grease might be required to get all the bolt holes aligned, this is not the mounts fault, that would happen no matter what brand it was. Here are some pictures of the mounts, first the old ones and then the new after they were installed, well worth the work as the job only took me 2-3 hours and the ride is significantly more comfortable I will update if anything significant changes, thanks

I bought this for an 11 ford focus. It was a bit rough around the edges, literally. However that didn't bother the fitment or function. This bolted in same as the oem, seems like it will hold up just fine. And the price was definitely right. Overall, I'd buy another if needed.

This worked perfectly for my beater car. Had a terrible rattle throughout the entire car on acceleration. Changed all three motor mounts and she purrs like new. It mainly was the top right (passenger) engine mount on my 2005 ford focus zx4 that was causing the vibration, but I did all three to be safe. Product feels durable and was easy to install alll of them. If your car vibrates, this is a cheap, quick, and easy fix for you!

Brand name, kinda. Company says it's owned by Berkshire-Hathaway. Nearly identical to original mount, fit easily w/out alteration. Solved noisy vibration resonating thru body - old rubber biscuit had broken away and allowed metal-to-metal contact. Costs more than most but likely worth the extra $20. For Transit van: 1) Remove coolant reservoir 10mm bolt. 2) Release reservoir mounting tang at rear by prying plastic lip w/pocket screwdriver. 3) Flip reservoir forward and remove 8mm bolt and hose retainer at strut tower. 4) Open plastic hose clip to allow hose movement. 5) Support engine oil pan w/jack + wood. 6) Remove bolts & nuts (tight!) w/15 & 18mm deep sockets. Mount will barely clear hose if you raise/lower engine as needed. It's easier if twin studs on engine side of mount came out with the nuts as mine did.

Did what it says, fits perfectly and fixed the buzzing and vibration in the car. You won't know this mount is broken until you remove it from the car. By looks, my old old looked great but when I got it in my hands it warms apparent......it was shot. New one was MUCH harder to twist in the hands. Anyhow.....it fit great, I enjoy the car more now and this particular mount is 75% the issue with weird vibration, noises, etc. It gets to the point it feels like the engines running rough, but it's just this mount.

Vibrations went away for about a month and then came back although not quite as violent as before. Then a couple months in the bottom torque strut center bolt completely sheered away from the rubber on both sides and was banging around forward and backwards. Not durable at all. Had to replace with a different brand and design. The other two mounts are holding up but who knows for how long.

I'm not sure it is as good as the Ford OEM part but at least this one is available! It is soooo much better than the other aftermarket part I had. I'm very glad I gave this one a try after giving up on Ford getting more stock. The install is very quick and easy.I will probably order the other two engine mounts from this brand to replace the other aftermarket parts I used.

Received my items, and they look & feel like very low quality products. I will continue to install and gauge the quality after install.I have a feeling I’ll be replacing the mounts shortly just based on the quality seen so far
