I am going to be using this for it's intended use - a Predator 670cc engine. I guess I was under the impression that this plate was ready for welding. Note to buyers - This plate will show up powder coated, a little grinding and you'll be ready for welding, however it is not bare metal.I still give 5 stars.

Plate is not 6mm thick was super flimsy once weld onto gokart and 420cc installed, you could pull the chain between the two sprocket with one finger and the the whole plate flexs causing chain to constantly jump off from the torque of the motor. Do not recommend. Hopefully the seller will make it right and I can change this review to something postive.

Well it is a good quality plate nice fit and finish…just not for a big block engine… for a 196, 212,224 it would probably be sufficient. The holes had the correct placement with lots of room for adjustments. Not satisfied however with the flimsiness of the material. Welded all the way down both sides of this plate for rigidity, the issue may be the thinness of the material or the fact it’s triple slotted. Not entirely sure. I will make full spreader bar to bolt the entire distance across the channel underneath to see if that helps at all… if not I’m out the cost of the item and my welding time plus the time it’s going to take to remove it and build it the way it should have been built to begin with… I guess that’s what I get for convenience.. In conclusion don’t purchase this plate if you plan on running anything over about 8 horsepower.. two stars for the shipping speed and the powder coated finish, it is a nice item just not really going to work well for what it’s marketed for. Also the pictures used for this welded into the project is not this item… that picture shows a much much thicker item so don’t be douped. That’s not what you’ll get

Great mounting bracket for a 420cc engine, using it to mount the 420 engine in a golfcart. Very sturdy and makes everything very easy if you have to adjust the engine forwards or backwards to get it dialed in perfectly!

The plate fit good, I have a Honda GX340 mounted on it, however I did have to gring the slot width in order to fit proper sized mounting bolts for the motor. Comes powdercoated, very durable, doesn't seem like it's made of Chinesium!
