The lid has a seal to prevent water from leaking. It’s a two pack. One of the cups was disconnected from the base. It was an easy fix with super glue. The base is designed to clip onto a thin clipboard or pallet, otherwise it won’t sit flat on a table due to the clip. Looks like it could be removed easily from the clip if you wanted. Since there are two sets, You could leave one connected and the other set removed from the clip.

I am new to watercolor painting and chose this. My wife loved them so much that I gave her a set as well. I have painted 3 pieces while waiting in the car for my wife to finish up at work. The rubber seal caps are great and do not leak whatsoever. Would definitely purchase again however they look like they are such good quality that I may not need to replace them anytime soon.

This is a purchase for my upcoming cruise to Alaska. Having the 2 cups is important for rinceing and clean water cups

These are fabulous. Yes, you do get a set of two! They balance well. You can set them on a table if you don't want to clip them to a palette or book.

Does it’s work effectively. After using it, it worked well. For me, I found balancing the pots while I painted awkward. I’m sure it would be easy for a more experienced artist.

Not only are the dual cups very heavy, but the clip is so tight that it did not fit on any of the palettes that I use. I bought a Darcie Beck field bag, and I could not attach the cups to it. When I finally struggles to get one attached, it bent the edge so much that it would have been useless. And that was BEFORE I put water in them.

The tops don't seal very tight. They can be pulled off without too much effort. I don't have confidence they will stay on so I put them in a plastic bag in case they come off in my backpack. I don't recommend.
