I wanted a good sealing container for storing food such as dry beans ,rice, flour and other staples. I also plan to order smaller sizes for seed storage. The buckets are stackable and that saves space. I like that they are food grade. Not all are, so that is something to watch for.

I liked everything about the buckets.They are nice & strong with lids .The price was the best i've found & I searched all over & other companies charged way more for less buckets.I use them to store rice & other food.I will absolutely buy again when needed .

We use these containers for catering. They are sturdy and well made. Tops are a bit difficult to take off. Appreciated that it came with a gadget to remove the top. It was still a little difficult to remove it, though. They did forget to send the rubber mallet originally, but when I contacted them, they sent it right away.

I don't trust any claims for manufactured goods made by the ChiComs. These are USA made, so they must meet certain standards to claim the buckets are food grade quality. The mallet & lid opener are a bonus addition. This manufacturer sells at a favorably competitive price based on my research. Free shipping helps.

One of the 6 buckets arrived with a small amount of dark residue inside. I thoroughly cleaned it but was still uncomfortable storing food in it. Called customer support and a live person, who was a native English speaker, answered the phone. She listened to my concern and immediately arranged for a replacement bucket -- without the hassle of returning the defective one. The replacement arrived within 2 days.The buckets and lids are sturdy and the lid seals tightly. I do recommend the lid opening tool and mallet. Also: read the instructions; the lid cannot be removed from the bucket until the pull-tab is removed from the lid.
