CASE Epihone Dreadnought Acoustic

This case is well built, sturdy, plush, has good looks and will protect that which you love. My Epiphone Masterbuilt acoustic fits perfectly and allows me to keep it well protected while maintaining the right humidity level. No soft gig bag or cardboard clone gives you this level of care. Plenty of room at the headstock but it fits snugly and doesn’t move while in transit. Can you get a cheaper case? Probably, but you when you want the best for your money, you will never regret purchasing this for your guitar baby.

I shopped Epiphone cases elsewhere and there is one by Epiphone that indicates it is specifically for their EJ and AJ models. I was a bit skeptical of this one on Amazon at first because it's called "dreadnought" and says it fits the EJ and Dove. i have a Gibson Dove and my EJ came nowhere close to fitting in that case. So while the description says it will fit, i wasn't convinced yet. I finally found a reviewer who bought one for his EJ-160, so I pulled the trigger. Glad I did.Arrived today, sooner than expected. Packaging as expected - big cardboard box, Epiphone branded, case wrapped in plastic. My EJ-160 fits absolutely perfect, not a gap anywhere. There's even a slot that allows for the guitar strap nut at the bottom. You can make it out in the photo. There is also pocket you can see at the front. Not sure what that's for, but looks like a perfect spot for a humidipak. Does not affect the protection of the guitar on that side. Finally, you can see the area on the lid where the tone and volume knobs press into keeping them well-protected, too.Construction seems very good -- seams and edges are smooth and straight, latches aligned and tight (case locks, too), just appears solid all around. The finish material is very nice, smooth, not pebbled, but does seem like it could be easily scratched. Since I won't be gigging or traveling with it, I expect it will serve me and the guitar very well for a long time. One other observation... in the product photo on Amazon, you can't really see that the exterior top of the case has a raised surface, somewhat in the shape of a guitar body, but smaller. Inside, the lid is somewhat concave corresponding to it, but only partway down. At that point, they have soft padded area that covers most of the body from the soundhole down. This is the part that the knobs press into. Depending on model, I'd about bet an archtop could fit in this case also, but definitely do your research on that point. One minor knock...it has grey plush. Grey. It's relatively nice plush, shiny, thick and soft....but grey. Just doesn't work real well with the dark sunburst. But I'm giving it 5 stars because it's fine case, a good value and I'm picky about colors. Drives my wife nuts.

I bought this to protect my Epiphone Hummingbird PRO and it fits perfectly. The exterior is a hardshell case that seems to be made of wood. The hard shell of this is 1/4" thick and is quite hard. It appears to be wood covered with a leather-like vinyl. Inside is gray plush and the plush is very think (approx. 1") so will delicately protect the beautiful finish on your fine Epiphone dreadnaught guitar. There is a storage compartment that measures about 8"x4" that rests under the neck of the guitar. This case has 5 latches and one lock. Of course, the case comes with a key for the lock. The top of the case has "Epiphone" painted in gold and the pulltab to open the storage door inside is leather and is stamped with "Epiphone".I added some photos to show my case and how it fits a dreadnaught guitar like my Hummingbird.I bought a Fender hardshell case for my Fender Strat and paid $160 for that case. This Epiphone EDREAD case is of similar high quality and only runs $80 - $90 at the time of this writing. In my opinion, if you have an Epiphone dreadnaught style guitar, you simply can't go wrong getting this case for it. Even the cheaper, generic cases available are not substantially less expensive than this one. I think this case is high quality, looks great, and is reasonably priced (at the time of this writing). I highly recommend it.P.S. As other reviewers have pointed out, Amazon's stock photo of this item is outdated and does not represent the item you receive.

My #1 girl gave me a new 2007 limited edition Ebony Acoustic Epiphone Dove that I had been keeping in an extra padded travel bag. I looked at these cases a couple years ago but vacillated whether to buy one and when I decided to get it they weren't available any longer here on Amazon. I almost picked one up at a major music supplier but passed. When I noticed they were available again I was pleasantly surprised to see the price was the same as it was three years ago, unlike the diesel fuel I put in my truck and our groceries, but I digress. The case was double boxed. It was in the unopened original Epiphone box from the manufacturer and an additional outer custom fitted shipping box. The first case I received had a defective latch but I was able to exchange it easily without any problem whatsoever. The seller Guitar Craftory ships quickly and is a business whom I would do business with again without hesitation. The bottom line is, it's made specifically for an Epiphone dreadnought and it fits perfectly. This is a very nice case for the price and is on par with other cases I own that cost several times more. Other reviewers noted bubbles in the Tolex cover however neither case, the one returned for a defective latch or the replacement had any issues whatsoever.

Impresionante por fuera y por dentro. Mi Hummingbird encaja perfectamente, incluso lleva rebajes para el ampli o la toma de cable. El forrado interior es espectacular. Contras: La funda más la guitarra pesan una enormidad. Saludos.

A truly beautiful guitar case! Really strong, well made body with a thick lush interior lining. The storage box under the neck is really spacious too. The lock clasps are solid and well made. The external finish is of a really high quality too. If I have any doubts, it is that the fittings for the handle look a little thin, but so far it seems fine and I imagine if it isn't overly abused they will be fine. I've recently heard of a couple of people buying random cases and complaining that their guitars didn't fit. I checked with the Epiphone catalogue and bought the right one - well worth the investment. Also if you have bought a (relatively) expensive guitar, why on earth would you put it in a cheap back pack? Very happy and certain I would buy another original Epiphone case in the future.

High quality product that one would expect from a company like Epiphone. Sturdy, strong and stylish and a perfect fit for my Hummingbird Pro. Also a really good price only slightly more than a lesser, generic case. Got an email from the supplier (Absolute Music Solutions) shortly after ordering to say it was out of stock but they kept me informed which was good. Also they managed to get stock and deliver it to me within the original window. All round pretty good customer service.
