I got these booties for my horse Major, I was a little worried about the fit but they fit him perfectly and should protect his hooves and front legs. The booties are thicker than I expected but provide good padding for him. They’re light weight and he doesn’t even notice they’re there. I’d definitely recommend them.

When I ordered these I thought I was ordering extra large, but it turns out I ordered XXL so, although she is thought to be part Draft, she doesn't have humongous feet and like some of them do. So the extra large would have been perfect for her I think. But we made these work.Fortunately, she is a super calm and gentle horse that allows us a certain amount of learning curve as we go along together. I got these because when we tied her out to go on some of the grass on the property the lead rope kept getting caught under her front shoe. So I was hoping that these Bell Boots it would help out with that and maybe prevent the rope from getting back there.It was quite comical watching her the first 20 minutes of having these on. She took the highest steps and seemed to think a beat before she set her foot down each time. She really is such a good girl.I wish these had a little bit more give in them. They kept sliding up and so I would go back out and pull them back down again, but it would just keep happening. Finally, we just pulled them off because they were riding too high and it wasn't helping the rope not get stuck. I'm really not sure if it's my fault because I got too big of a size or if that's just the nature of these things. Either way that wasn't the answer so we will continue to search.

I don't have any complaints about them. The velcro is strong and they seem like they should last. My only complaint will be that they will absolutely absorb water so if you don't ride in an arena I would avoid using them when it is wet out or for schooling water.

These bell boots are made of thick neoprene similar to a beer coozy , with two layers of Velcro to hold them onto the horses foot. They are probably best used for horses that over reach, because the neoprene padding will prevent the horse from injuring itself, much better than regular plastic bell boots. They are easy to clean and easy to put on and takeoff. I use these for turn out and general riding.
