While this product appears to be well made, it is not designed for a beginning trombone player. Trombones are very delicate instruments that can easily be damaged. This case is not very protective. I will have to add packing material to make the case sturdier.

This will work for my girl during football season but could not be checked on a plane or thrown on a school bus. Light and well built but trombone would get damaged if not careful.
