I use these on all my acoustic guitars, going on around 15 years. I wasn't always a fan - Ernie strings never felt as good as other brands to me and seem to break easier but I change strings every gig and they were cheap, so it made sense to use the least expensive set. For my needs (literally one 3 hour show per string set) they've never let me down. They hold up for the gig and have a good sound. The acoustic strings do get some time out of them at home, I don't do acoustic shows so for home use they're perfect for me.

These 11-52 seems to work the best on my Takamine acoustic guitar. They light enough that I can still get a good bend out of them, but sturdy enough to handle the constant poundings of strumming.Good tone. Buying three at a time just saves money

i had heard that Seagull acoustic guitars were great. nice action, etc, so i bought one on craigslist and tried it. sound was great but it was just painful to play. and i’m an intermediate player, i just assumed it wasn’t my guitar.i took a stab at these strings and threw them on there, oh dang. it’s like i have another guitar. it’s now fun to play, all chords i play on it are effortless, im not fighting the damn thing, i had no idea what type of strings were previously on the guitar, but just get these and try them for your steel string acoustic. for $6 or so it gave it new life.off to go play again! just dropped in to leave this review. strings seem to be on the thinner side but they sound and play beautifully. time will tell how they hold up.
