One of the best ways to learn guitar, and music if you're not familiar, is the Ernie Ball books. Simple, fun, and complete. Exactly what a beginner guitar book should be, and the best I've ever used, bar none.

Both Phase 1 and 2 are excellent quick-starts for budding guitar players.Not too much time wasted on scales and 'etudes' no one really wants to play, these books get you playing actual tunes pretty quickly.

Don't buy from this seller! If you need to return it- they deduct all your shipping (both ways) PLUS a restocking fee. They don't tell you this is their policy when you request the return.The book wasn't what I needed and I got $.91 back.The description didn't give enough details to determine the books usefulness.The book itself may be ok for more advanced student - but definitely not book 2 for beginniners!Book = 1 starSeller= ZERO stars!This policy may be necessary for your business- but you need to State that policies up front! I enjoyed the book, was laid out nicely, and as a piano player, I enjoy reading score rather than tab. I don't think it should be called an intermediate book though. Took me a couple of weeks to run through the whole thing and play it comfortably and I've only been learning for 6 weeks. I believe that makes me as beginner as they come. But I enjoyed it all the same. It's a nice book for beginners carrying on from the first book in the series. Would like to see else is out there as the more advance version of this to advance my playing and sight reading.
