I order the singles to use when I break a string on a just installed set… especially the plain unwound strings on my Gretsch electric 12.

I needed a new steel string for my balalaika. I had hoped to be able to use the round things at the bottom with my existing pegs, but the round things were way too small for me to be able to use. I needed to cut it and knot it like I was a sailor, but it did work really well and so far it hasn’t snapped. If you aren’t already a sailor and/or are not in the mood to research how to do knots, maybe measure your pegs to see whether the round things will fit your instrument.
