The listing is somewhat ambiguous about the types of grain you can mill with this, but the box says "soft and cooked grains." I can confirm this after attempting to mill dried corn kernels. The suction cups would not hold well and it took multiple passes to even get close to cornmeal consistency. That being said, I think it would work well with soft grains. It's simple to disassemble for cleaning. It looks nice. If you only need a mill for the specific purpose of soft grains, like fresh corn, then it might work for you.

My mom was hoping that she could use this to make some corn dishes that she would make in Guatemala. She got very excited when I pulled it out for her to try when she was visiting. She was so disappointed in it. The plates aren't tight enough to get a good grind. It was very chunky spitting out whole pieces of corn even though the corn was cooked and and it should have been ground better. It was not what we were hoping for

this is nice to have if you want to ground up your own wheat or corn or anything like that. it is small enough that it will fit on your counter or table or wherever you are using it. it gets the grains really nice and fine. i like that it comes with the little table to put it on. easy to set up and use. great for making your own bread or tortilla or even oatmeal for babies
