Somebody made off with my rubber mallet so I had to replace. Found this one Made in USA and its quality compared to my old one is really noticeable. It is heavier and the rubber seems tougher. I am a Made in the USA shopper and try to buy as little from China as feasibly possible. More expensive but the quality is always superior.

The rubber on this soft in a way that it doesn’t crack, but hard enough not to deform. Good weight for working pavers and a solid handle.

Very well-balanced and well-made, as I expect from Estwing. I have small hands and the handle is comfortable and allows a secure grip while in use. The only con, on a comic note, is that my husband keeps borrowing this mallet and it’s not in my tool box when I need it! He will receive one of these as a gift to resolve that issue. If in doubt, buy two, it’s a really nice tool.

I'm a Glazier by trade and everyone i work with says that the dead blow by Estwing is incredible and last forever, i've seen one over a decade old and looks almost in perfect condition. Incredibly reliable and durable.

First things first. No complaints while swinging that mallet.12oz. with a large hitting area and a smooth hickory handle.The Deadhead doesn't bounce at all. I've been aligning OSB sheets for a while now and that mallet is a true blessing.I would buy it again and again.
