This gauge was ordered to be installed on a 2020 50cc ICEBEAR scooter. The scooter needed a gauge after the fuel tank valve(pump) leaked from the diaphragm , and fuel sucked into the vac port on through the engine intake manifold. The entire contents of the tank slowly leaked into the engine crankcase ,checked the oil dipstick and it was gushing out gasoline with oil, out of the dipstick. Flooded the brand new engine(less than

It works fine and does the job well, in retrospect I wouldn't buy it again though. I would spend like $20+ or so to get a better one and look at the reviews first. Now I see what others have noticed, the gauge backlight is very bright (I do think it is too bright and will probably end up putting a transparent sticker on it to dim it) and the needle sticks/jumps a bit too much to be accurate as I would like. However it does work properly as a vacuum gauge and I did get what I paid for so I really can't complain too much. Perhaps I will swap it out in the future but probably not at this point. Essentially now I know what my idle pressure is so I will be able to tell immediately when a problem occurs in the engine, so it is definitely worth the money in that respect. But buyer beware, I got this for $13 and wish I would've spent a bit more to get better quality. Otherwise it was great and works fine, just pay a bit more to get a better one I say.

It would really help if the instructions matched the product. The wires are confusing being yellow and black however, while ground wires are traditionally black, the marine industry has gone to yellow as the negative/ground wire. This is to prevent accidental use of a 120v hot (black) thinking it’s a 12v ground. Guess what color is the new marine standard? Yellow. It’s easy enough for me to identify the correct connections, but I’m probably more familiar with how to determine the correct connections without instructions, but I’m probably the exception.

Tested against three other vacuum guages and it's spot on with them. No gelatin in this guage (or oil or whatever you want to call it). That's actually a plus in my book because if you have a bent rod, one cylinder will die giving you a pulse of high or low vacuum once per two revolutions. With gelatin, you may not see the needle move fast enough. The backlight is quite bright, and is a white/blue color, which makes the orange needle stand out very bright. Overall, so far, 5 stars for this. (although the supplied hose is very stiff. Get some natural rubber or silicone 1/8" and you'll be happier than with the vinyl)

I tested it with a known good handheld vacuum tester and another know good vacuum gauge. When 25inHg is applied to the new gauge it only reads up to 15inHG,The new gauge is faulty.

very nice looking gauge, came with hardware to hook up. I used this to see vacuum from my vacuum pump to my brake booster. Had good amount of vacuum hose with it.

This gauge reads 5 in HG out of the packaging. No adjustments in the instructions and no screws on the back.
