I never thought I’d need a car door lock actuator for my chicken coop, but here we are. These little heavy-duty beauties are the unsung heroes of backyard engineering. I rigged them up with a microcontroller to create the ultimate chicken nesting box: at night, I fold the roost bar up to block access to the nesting boxes, keeping them clean and poop-free. At dawn? The bar folds back down like a polite maître d’ opening the door for the day’s egg-laying festivities. It's like an automated chicken bouncer—"Sorry, no entry after dark!"The actuators themselves are surprisingly powerful and smooth for the price. They unfolded the roost bar without a hiccup. It’s as if these actuators were meant for chicken-proofing. Programming the microcontroller was straightforward too, but let’s be honest—the real stars are these little mechanical workhorses. They handle the daily grind of poultry management with no complaints. Why did the chicken cross the road? Because the nesting box was on lockdown for the night!

I used these as motors in a robotic drummer. As you can imagine, this application required that these motors were activated very rapidly and continuously. I figured these car door locks would, most likely, not be up to the task because they really weren't designed for this type of function. I got them because they were cheap, and I was just simply trying to do a proof-of-concept working model before I invested in more expensive components. Well, as expected, these motors did over-heat when operated at full-throttle tempo. I can't remember what my fastest cycle speed was, but it was pretty rapid, and could easily keep up with most song beats. I was also surprised that all 4 of the locks I tested were so consistent with their timing. They were all quite uniform with their response time. With some adjustments to voltages and amperages, the set-up was working well, and it was my motor driver that was failing before these door locks. I could get several minutes out of the set-up before it started skipping beats and losing power. But, again, that was the motor driver failing, not these door locks. After a cool down cycle, I could get another few minutes, with no damage. For that drumming project, these door locks worked admirably under torture test conditions. So I can't imagine you'll have any issues using these for their intended use as car door locks. They should easily out-last whatever car you put them in.

Though I did not use them for their intended purpose, they would NOT be strong enough to activate the locks on my toyota sequoia. These would be GREAT on something with little to no resistance. They are fast, but very weak. They also DO NOT have a built-in stop. You will overheat these if you hold the button too long! I was able to make these work, but I had to use 2 of them, one pushing while one pulled. I used these to make a remote switch to unlatch my back hatch on an 04 sequoia. This doesn't take any more strength than the door locks on a sequoia (the door locks do take more than most)

They basically work for a while as long as they are not overworked. 1 burned out after a few months of daily use. Cheaply constructed and not as strong or smooth as factory.

Actuadores estándar, te puedes ahorrar un buen dinero y evitar gastos sin sentido, ojo, tus chapas deben de estar en buen funcionamiento para que los actuadores sustituyan los anteriores.Fácil instalación.
