I bought this because I could not get adequate volume out of my AKG K702 headphones when connected to an iPad (older model with headphone jack).Adding this little item between the iPad and the headphones really boosts the sound, allowing the K702s to really shine.This setup will never be comparable to a really good source and amp, but itรขโฌโขs a big improvement, at a very modest price!

There's more 'air' between sound frequencies and it sounds better for this track.Be Alright by Ariana GrandeResponse: It took many replays to find the difference. Her voice comes through more, better supported in the low and mid range. It's a slight improvement. I chose this track because it is a simple track that focuses more on her voice than instrumentals.Wherever I Go by OneRepublicResponse: The transition around the 2 minute mark in the music video was more effective with the amplifier. That transition does not stand out without the amp. Since the music video goes through a dramatic visual transition there, makes me think the amp helped align the audio with the artist's intention.Preach by John LegendResponse: Boosts the song. Gives the song more power which is appropriate since it has a choir. Most noticeable difference with and without the amp.I switched between L and H and found L to be lacking. I do no think the amp introduces distortion. I did notice some sounds I did not hear before in some songs and which made me check if it was distortion. The heat generated running this amp is negligible when it is sitting on a desk. I am guessing the metal case also serves to dissipate some of the heat and between cold and warm, at best it got not cold.In general, my initial impressions are good. It's an amplifier so it definitely provides louder music. The ~$20 is a fair price for an entry level pocket headphone amplifier. If better audio experience is the goal, I would recommend investing in a nice set of headphones first then consider an amp. This amp improves my experience with the DT770 but the better value per dollar is in a studio headphone in my opinion. Overall I like the minor improvements this amp gives to music.

Bought a Blu-Ray portable DVD/CD from Amazon some months back. Player is great visually, but built-in speakers were anemic. Even headphones direct are iffy for my 79-yo ears. Installed this inline amp and it works marvelously. Volume can be turned up to more than I can bear! Recharges quickly, and easily lasted through a triple feature recently. Very satisfied.

I bought this as an attempt to enhance my listening experience in my car. My car is an older model (2003) without Bluetooth and I initially used this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MUXYVOA?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title (in addition to a radio interface with a 3.5mm headphone jack plugged into the factory head unit) but did not have much success with the sound quality (volume specifically). I was originally going to install an aftermarket amp but didn't really want to go that route. I do have aftermarket speakers which now I can get these speakers to do what they were intended for! After installing this I no longer need an amp!!! I actually look forward to listening to music in my car even more now!

I have a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 tablet that I bought for entertainment and internet access while traveling. I wanted to be able to share with my wife through headphones and Bluetooth but I was afraid the volume would be too low to hear well on a plane so I bought this unit after reading several reviews.The headphones I bought to use with this device are JBL Tune 660NCs (two identical pairs) and I'm very happy with the results. Both pairs of headphones are now quite loud when turned up.While the device is supposed to work with headphone impedances between 16 and 300 ohms, I'm thinking the lower the impedance the better as far as volume goes (less resistance, more current) as both JBL headphones (as well as a pair of Lenovo Yoga BT headphones I also have) are listed at 32 ohms and there is plenty of volume with them. My wife has a pair of Sony WH-CH520 BT headphones that don't go as loud ad the others but unfortunately, I can't find info on the impedance on them so I have to admit that I'm guessing.At any rate, this amp works very well for my purposes and seems to be built solidly. A couple of things to note in my particulars. First, if using with a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 tablet, you will need a USB-C to 1/8" phono adapter as this tablet has no phono input. I'm also adding a Bluetooth dongle that can pair with two sets of headphones as this tablet is unable to do so with it's onboard Bluetooth.Time will tell but so far, I like what I hear.

I tried using this to gain some 3.5mm instuments on a passive mixer. The mixer does not power itself, so having amplification out to the speaker to boost the putput from the passive mixer was the idea. Absolutely does not amplify, the signal I was getting out was QUIETER than the signal direct from the passive mixer.Yes, I made sure the gain switch was engaged, but man is this amp counterintuitive. I'd recommend something along the lines of Barringer or another known and trusted audio company.Don't waste your time and money with this or similar models that have a new name slapped on them. They are all mostly cheap junk. I'm sure there's a solution out there, but this isn't it.

It makes the music louder. However even with a set of headphones that is 120 ohms, it distorts when louder.

When a product is good as expected it is difficult to make some comments. It does what you expect: amplifies clearly the sound coming from the computer, takes very little space. I use it also for something different. I have added a sound bar to my TV and connected some headset. The sound bar is stereo and make some resonance in the room which annoy my wife who doesn't wear headset. So I turned right down the soundbar to be barely audible, and amplify that sound for my headset using that tiny amplifier. So now my wife can hear a clear sound from the TV, she can adjust it the way she likes, while I can adjust the sound for my headset independently. Of course, you know that you cannot connect directly your headset to the TV without cutting the sound. A little bit cumbersome, you maybe right, but it works and everybody is happy.

Sans cette amplifaicateur et avec cette amplificateur c'est comme le jour et la nuit ! Je me suis muni il y a maintenant une semaine d'un set up informatique constituรยฉ d'un mini pc, d un clavier et d'un รยฉcran, le tout sรยฉparรยฉ. Le problรยจme est que le son sortant de l'ecran supprime en grosse partie les basses, ce qui impacte la qualitรยฉ de la musique ( musique que j'รยฉcoute toujours avec un casque audio). Avec ce petit joujou que j'ai eu aujourd'hui, tout a changรยฉ... pour le meilleur ! de nouveau la qualitรยฉ du son est rendu.Seul bรยฉmol...la notice est trรยจs brรยจve et en langue anglaise. Si comme moi c'est pour la premiรยจre fois que vous utilisez ce type d'amplificateur et que c'est un peu galรยจre, allez voir les tutoriels sur youtube.
