This precision-approach to attenuation achieves a chime and resonance as articulate as many full0volume sets, but at 1/5th the noise level. With natural, acoustic tone and a more natural acoustic feel, EVANS dB enables drummers and educators to play and practice naturally, whenever and wherever they want. Gone are the days of worrying about annoying family and/or neighbors, or overpowering others in the room with their drums. For over 60 years, Evans has been an innovator in drumhead manufacturing and design. As the creator of the first synthetic drumhead and other revolutionary products such as EMAD, Hydraulics, and the UV1 series, Evans drumheads are designed with the intent of solving problems for drummers. Regarded for high quality and consistency all Evans drumheads are made in the USA and feature Level 360 Technology.

The drummers love the feel of actual cymbals. They are really durable. We have these last for about two years now no problems or cracks. No peeling paint either. They still look and sound great.

The rebound from the mesh heads is a little more lively than normal heads, but that's not unexpected. Small adjustments to the heads themselves and to your technique and they're easily adapted to.I don't need to use these because neighbors are close by, my nearest neighbor is quite a good distance away. I use them because my wife has started working more from home and going into the office less frequently. These do the trick. She holds conference calls on speakerphone while I'm playing and says she doesn't have any issue with it. Before I'd gotten these, it was so much of a problem, I couldn't play because it interfered with her calls. Balance has been restored! They're solidly built. I'm sure they'll last forever, but our very near to it. I would buy them again should they not.

Yes- these are GREAT for practice, great response. Ez tuning. I'm running them on a set of aluminum Trick drums. Sound great, tone wise. They hold up well, too. No ludicrous bounce like you might have experienced with other low volume head options. These respond more like regular tom heads - for the most part. Still a bit of excess rebound, but again, far less than other alternatives.Late night practice sessions are now allowed...I will say, the DB-1 snare head is still a bit loud, though. If too loud, throw the snares off and muffle with towel (over the head or in the practice snare).

I was looking for a low volume option for home practice. Evans claims an 80% sound level reduction with these. That checks out. Yet, there is enough tone to get that real drum sound. The main thing for me is the feel of playing a full-on acoustic set without the volume. Practicing for hours on a electronic kit with hard rubber pads was hurting my wrists. These Evans heads allow for the right amount of rebound without being either too dead or too bouncy. Love the bass drum head! They hit the sweet spot for feel. Now I can practice without driving everyone out of the house. Coupled with low-volume cymbals, this is a winning setup. If there is one criticism, it is that this should be offered with 12" and 13" tom heads instead of 10" and 12". Fortunately, I am using a 4 piece setup. Bottom line... these are not cheap, but they are worth it.

Although I use these on electronic drums set with a standard stadium while playing gospel they seem to work really good. However I purchased one for my snare drum and trying to tone down the sound to muffle and they just weren't loud enough not even to pick up on the recording. Good head good company. If you're going to be playing like gospel or in a closed area or an area where you need to keep the noise down this is an excellent head

I'm so glad the technology has finally caught up, I've been dreading the idea of switching to electric since living in an apartment. This is the closest I've ever felt to playing a regular acoustic set, I get all the same tones and feelings as the real thing just at reduced volume. Evans has always been the goat for drumheads and the cymbal combo pack is great . Only issue I have is the small crash is kinda tinny but I put a sizzle on it and it sounds great

I purchased these in December 2023. My first instinct was to buy DB Zeros for my kit but at the last minute I decided to get DB Ones instead. I should have gone with my instincts. Don't get me wrong, the DB Ones are not bad at all. The company's selling point is, the DB Ones have a more "realistic" feel than the DB Zeros and they do. However, the DB Ones still are not quiet enough for what I need. Subsequently, I replaced the Ones with Zeros and the Zeros are exactly what I'm looking for. So I'm not knocking the DB Ones, they do what they are designed to do. But I value better volume reduction of the DB Zeros even if their feel is not as realistic as the DB Ones. The Zeros are a bit bouncier than the Ones but the difference between the two is so small that I prioritize the better volume reduction of the Zeros over the feel of the Ones. So if you're looking for better volume control, go for the DB Zeros. However, if a more realistic feel is what you want, go for the DB Ones.

If you’re looking for something that resembles an actual snare drumhead but without getting complaints of loudness, this is highly recommended. Good for practicing snare rolls, ghost notes, etc.

Acquisto indispensabile per chi vuole suonare ogni giorno a casa. Le pelli sono incredibili. Tom eccezionali. Risposta molto simile a quelle tradizionali.
