My son is using this on his 1/2 size violin and gives it 5 stars! He says it is very comfortable and it doesn't pop off all the time. He is a fairly child, but it does seem stable and to sit just right. Good design!

However, there's no option to comfortably switch the dimensions horizontally, you can only change in "Z height" but not in "Y-axis, horizontally". This makes it tough for the kid to adjust it.

My daughters use these for their violins. One has been using the same one for over a year. The other has broken two. The hex head of the brass bolt is molded into the feet, and after a while it rips out. To replace this, I have decided to try one of the collapsible feet models to see if they are more durable.
