Husband installed a hitch to our older Honda van, in case we need to hook up and haul something. To keep the hitch receiver clean, this cover is made out of a heavy rubber material that fits snug on the outside and the cover blocks the dirt. The cover is a shiny black material that we may add some reflective tape to.Overall, for $10 this hitch cover is a good value to help keep your hitch clean.

Nice shiny finish that matches the rear logo on our car.

Wanted a plug to hide the rust on my hitch and this fit the bill - plain, no frills, PERFECT for my needs and the look I was going for!

This was an exact fit of a 2" hitch. The only thing difficult about installing it was the protective plastic that was on the cover. :)The flexible runner ring that goes around the hitch can be easily installed. With it on, you don't have to worry about loosing it. I just wasnt sure if it was suppose to be opened from the top or bottom. Seems that leaving it dangling from the bottle will cause the cap to be scrapped by asphalt while driving. Leaving it on top will droop it over the opening and prevent putting on my bike rack. Well, that sounds like tomorrow's problem.Overall, I like the look of the cap. And it fits pretty tightly around the hitch opening. Trying to prevent excess water from getting in a s cause rust. I didn't do that with my old 1.25 hitch and that thing was filled with rust on the inside.

My photos show the story. Photo 1 is my "before" photo of my tow hitch - complete with some rust beginning. Photos 2 and 3 are before the unboxing, and photo 4 shows the opened box with the unit inside . . . including a plastic cover. The only instruction is to remove the plastic cover, so photo 5 shows the unit with the plastic underneath it after removal. The back piece is a rather reflective black plastic. Photo 6 shows me slipping the collar around the town hitch - took less than 30 seconds as the rubber was quite pliable, but it went right back to proper size and does not appear loose at all. After that, Photo 7 shows the cover in place plugging the tow hitch hole. The vehicle was a 2008 Chevy Suburban with a 2" X 2" tow hitch to cover, and I couldn't ask for a better fit. The appearance is quite good, too.
