I purchased this to replace my Origami Owl locket, which did not hold up well after only a little more than a year. The finish wore off the chain & it lost several of the crystals that were in the circle frame. I was very disappointed in the quality for the price I paid. However, I just received this 25mm locket and I love it. The front glass/frame of the locket screws off/on for a secure hold for the charms. My husband liked the fact that it has a thin "O" ring in it. The chain that came with it is 20" long (I measured). It has a 1"–1 1/2" extension for the clasp so you can shorten or lengthen slightly to your preference. I currently have 6 charms in mine that represent my 6 grandchildren. It might hold one more charm, depending on the size of all the charms, but then you're getting it fairly crowded. Three-to-six charms is ideal for this size. I also have a 30mm locket (Origami Owl brand) that can hold several more charms than the 25mm size. (Just a note: I will not be purchasing any more Origami Owl lockets because both of mine lost the finish on the chains and it's probably just a matter of time before I lose the crystals on the 30mm locket, too.) I can't say whether this brand would lose the crystals in the frame, if you are ordering one of that style, but that's why I stuck with the plain style...to avoid even the possibility of losing any stones. I am going to order one of these lockets to give my granddaughter for her birthday. She will love being able to change out the charms according to her outfit or just on a whim! Oh, the 4 colored stones that came with this are pretty and sparkly, but I wish I could have chosen different colors...no biggie. It's worth the price even w/o the 4 stones. I also plan to order some charms from this company. (The charms shown in the attached picture are Origami Owl brand, which seem to be good quality, but they are also more expensive.) (Please excuse my reflection in the frame of the locket—I couldn't get the lighting right w/o some glare or reflection.)

I have another brands of this same type of necklace and my friend has yet another brand. I think EVERLEAD living memory is just as good quality if not better. It is not cheaply make or cheap looking. The 30mm size was a little smaller than I expected. (the description was accurate still just a tiny bit smaller than I expected) It just fits maybe one or two (depending on size) less of the floating charms. Still holds about 4-5 average sized floating charms (again size depending) without overcrowding. Overall from a distance the slightly smaller size of the EVERLEAD vs the other brands is not noticeable. This is necklace is half the price of the other brands. I would agree with the other reviews on buying the SCREW, like the round chapstick containers, vs the magnetic. It is MUCH more secure. I have lost charms out of my magnetic locekt while I was wearing it. I never even changed the charms or opened it a lot. I don't think magnetic closure wore out it was just a bit weaker design from the start. The screw kind takes a few times to learn how to open it as its a bit tricky.(my 9 year old can't open it) I am fine with screw closure because I feel like my charms are secure. If you did want to change out the charms regularly I believe it would be doable, with this kind of quality. Probably could even change out multiple times. I have bought 2 additional ones after seeing the great quality.

My 11 year old daughter requested "real" jewelry that she could wear around the house. Her silver and gold pieces are for special occasions only while her costume jewelry has turned her skin green in the past. This necklace/pendant is the perfect compromise; it looks expensive, appears to be quite durable, is very attractive, doesn't look like what everyone else is wearing, did not break the bank, can be worn around the clock because it's stainless steel and is versatile because the little stones can be changed to match any outfit. It's the perfect necklace and I love it. I am seriously considering purchasing a larger one for myself. I can't say enough good things about it.I'm glad I went with the screw style instead of the magnet style. It's more difficult to open, but that's the point, harder to get in and harder for the stones to fall out. In case you're wondering, the circumference of the 20mm pendant is approximately the same as a nickel and the glass in the center is a little smaller than a dime. It sounds small but the four stones that come with the pendant fit comfortably with room for probably at least four more. I love it, and more importantly my daughter loves it. She literally hadn't taken off yet.

I got this in January and it still looks good. No scratches or dents in metal or glass. I bought it to replace an O2 locket that I accidentally put through the wash. The only thing I'd have to warn about was that after wearing it for 4-5 days straight the locket had started to unscrew. So now I check that it's tight every time I put it on so I don't lose my charms. Other than hat it's great, waterproof and seems like it will last if taken care of. Mine also came with the chain and some stones, so good value for someone just starting out.

I wanted something to hold a locket of my pet's fur and decided on this. It's beautifully made and just perfect for what I want. My baby loved car rides and my intent is to hang it in my car so he can forever ride with me. I purchased the 30 mm screw. I was surprised and wasn't expecting it to come with 4 little colored gemstones but it did. I'm guessing those were randomly selected and might not be the same with each order. I used one of my own though.
