So, I've been using the Q-See DVRS in the past few years - along with GeoVision. The Q-See's have been notorious (also the computer that ran the GeoVision) for failing at the worst times. So, when my last Q-See bit the dust and Q-See wouldn't honor their warranty - I bought this - so I could at least keep an eye on things outside while I was trying to get a new DVR. It gets the job done. Pretty good features too for such a cheap and simple box!

Price is good, but you get what you pay for. Out of the box the produced display has video noise on upper and right edge of screen. Didn't install until return peruod had passed. Video quality otherwise was poor compared to unit I pulled out(4-channel that as working fine) this one goes in the trash, unless Mfg. Steps up and accepts a return.

I've been looking for sometime for an affordable 8 channel multiplexer. This unit works well and is a good value. Easy to setup and use. Happy with purchase.

Give one star for features/price. However, the unit failed after 3 months (or less). Problems are intermittent, but almost never can I see a decent image. The image is garbled and flickers. Sometimes you can make out an input image and sometimes you can make out nothing. I saw many units with similar images and different prices; chose this one as the least expensive. Don't waste your time with this.

We just got it and it seems to be a good choice as we use it for our church video production or recording of our services. With it, our video director can see several views of our cameras at one time.
