These blankets are pretty on par with most flannel receiving blankets I've had, though on the smaller side. The colors are great, but they do shrink a bit with washing. Otherwise, the quality is good.

These came packaged really nicely for gift giving on a hanger with a ribbon bow. They are soft and the patterns are cute. I actually use these blankets to lay on my pillows. My cats like to sleep on the pillows so I put these blankets on them during my non-sleeping hours. When I go to bed I fold them up and put them on my dresser and I have cat-hair free pillows. These got even softer after washing, just like a flannel shirt, and would make a great shower gift.

These are not true flannel blankets. They have a flannel feel on the right side but scratchy fabric on the back, not brushed up at all. They are very thin, cheap, not worth the money! I would be embarrassed to give these as a gift. I bought them for my granddaughters to use with their dolls but would never use these with a real child. Save your money, not worth buying.

The yellow one is not flannel. It is a very loose weave that you can easily to see through and it doesn't have the soft feel of flannel. All of them seem small. You would have to wrap the baby from opposite corners in order to reach around the baby.

This is a perfect baby gift, either for the shower/sprinkle or the birth. There are four 30" x 30" blankets made of cotton in the set. I chose the set with a baby dinosaur pattern on one of the blankets; the major colors are green, blue and grey, all of which would work for either a boy or girl. The blankets are machine wash & dryable. The 30" square size is great for a newborn or for an older sibling to use with their dolls.I intend to use this as a baby shower gift, where I know it's not glitzy but is a much needed item that will be used a lot.
