At 10 amps this little saw has a lot of power, it took me about an hour just to set up but once set up is all good.Overall, is a powerful saw that can cut through metal with ease. it comes with a general saw blade that cuts wood, plastic and soft metal. I decided to buy an extra saw blade that is specifically for metal use. That way the saw blade will last longer.i was surprised to see package comes with some spare safety glasses, as well as foam ear plugs as the machine is quite loud while in use. Safety Glasses and ear plugs was a good attention to detail.Overall this is a great little machine, however when using most important is you secure whatever you are cutting well, from the front end and the back end, because if not the item you are cutting can fly out. It happened to me, lesson learned. It performs nice straight cuts, so I'm happy with this purchase.

I needed a small saw to do 90s and 45s for my smaller steel stock (2 inches and below), I have a plasma cutter for bigger stuff. First off its only ~$120 so you can’t beat the price and even with the general purpose blade it cut 1x1x16GA square tube (at 45) like a hot knife through butter. I also did 1x1x11GA nice and slow, with minimal sparks. I did also buy the stainless steel, 48 tooth blade and noticed it did cut just a little bit cleaner. I'm expecting that the official steel blade would out last the general purpose blade due to the number of teeth etc. In either case I could probably take that cut steel and jump right to welding w/o any sanding prep. The weight and size are perfect for small home shops like mine. There were some minor issues with the saw, I hate the stupid locking chain, they have me one ear plug (really minor but wtf), and the rubber foot for the clamp was a pain to put in (why did I have to do it)?The only real issues I have are:#1 This is saw has a 20MM (METRIC) ARBOR. I read some of the comments and they lead you to believe you can run this saw with 5/8s blades w/o a bushing, NOT TRUE! You need to get the ‘Evolution CSBUSH20M5/8 bushing’. Amazon sells it and it’s cheap. You cannot find 7 ¼ inch 20MM arbor blades in stock at Home Depot or Lowes, you have to order them. So you may want the bushing in case of an emergency. I don’t see this as a huge deal, just something I wish was called out.#2 I found that the clamp system alters the angle you set for making 45s etc. I've seen mush more expensive saws with the same design so its not just this saw. I'm doing my stuff with clamps now.#3 The hash marks for 45 are off by a couple of degrees. I made my own new hash marks (hey its ~$120)I’m very happy with the saw so far.PIC INFO:The cut steel pics are 1x1x16GA from the official steel blade the general purpose blade cut very similar to so I didn't post the pic.I put a blue 5/8s arbor blade on the stem so you can see the fitting problem. I have not ordered the bushing yet so I can't say how well that works.Btw it does have a small dust port you can install and it comes with eye protection and spare motor brushes.

This is a very good blade that goes well with their (admittedly) cheap metal saw. it worked great and lasted quite a while. After it dulled down a bit, I sent it out to be sharpened. While it was gone, I bought an upgraded Rage metal-cutting blade (with twice as many carbide teeth). That one also worked great, but after about 15 minutes of use, my saw quit working. I discovered the brushes in the motor were shot. I replaced them with the spare set that came with the saw. These were also done after another 15 minutes of use. By the time I got the brushes replaced again, the original blade was back from sharpening. I reinstalled it, and no more brush problems.I think all that extra carbide was putting a load on the saw motor it wasn't designed for. This blade is perfect for the saw; you can't improve on it.

I have only cut 4 cuts through 1/2 inch thick by 2 inch flat solid A36 steel bar, but even taking it slow it made each cut in about 6 seconds with the included 20 tooth blade, which is considerably faster than using abrasives to cut. You have to be careful to go slow and don't pull down hard while cutting with the 20 tooth blade or you can break the carbide teeth off, it only takes gentle downward pressure to cut. If you have to push down hard, your blade is dull or missing teeth. Another tip for blade life is to let the blade stop spinning after the cut before raising the saw up so the teeth don't snag on the metal piece you just cut off, this will prevent a lot of broken teeth on the blade.

I was sceptical at first. Purchased it to cut some 1.5x1.5 1/8 thick angle iron for a project. Cuts steel no problem. I've cut about 40 pieces so far and it's still cutting. Small enough to easily pack up and bring to the next job. Better than my 1/4" grinder chop saw for the small jobs.

The supplied blade lasted about 24 cuts on 2x2, .100 wall square tube. It has very small carbide tips and I was not expecting it to even last that long.I purchased an additional Evolution 7.25" 40 tooth blade and it has much bigger carbide tips. It will last much longer. The only thing that would be an improvement on this machine other that it being a larger blade for bigger cuts is the screw clamp. It should have come with the quick release feature like the bigger machines have. It is however just as easy to use.No complaints so far. Will buy again is needed.
