The Guardian Anti-Dry-Fire system prevents dry firing and allows easy de-cocking. In the event the crossbow is fired without an arrow, the Guardian system, a self-contained unit housed inside the crossbow's scope mount, catches the string preventing the crossbow from dry firing, thereby preventing possible damage. It also features a built-in release so, at the end of your hunt, unlike with the other anti dry fire systems, you can easily de-cock your crossbow without having to fire an arrow, a major advantage. The Guardian system is standard on Excalibur Matrix 380 models and is available as an aftermarket part for all other Excalibur crossbow models. Model 7016.

This was a GREAT upgrade to my Excalibur Phoenix. it was super easy to install, and i like how it is much longer than the stock rail and arrow holder too. it not only gives dry fire protection, it also holds the arrow more securely to the rail.

This is a needed device if teaching young ones to handle crossbow. Cuts out the ooops and sorrys, had my son and youngest nephew on range and nephew got a big kick out of the sound from dry firing. Twice, plus launching a luminok over the target backstop.He’s done forever.Great upgrade, easy to install.

As advertised, this device was shipped in a timely fashion, arrived as indicated, had excellent installation instructions and works on my Excalibur Crossbow as advertised. It functioned perfectly when I inadvertently pulled the trigger without a bolt loaded.Very satisfied.

A must have addition to any Excalibur xbow! This fixes the missing safety element to the best crossbow line out there. Mine took 10 minutes to install and my point of impact was nearly perfect afterwards (since you have to remove the scope, you need to confirm the zero). Warning... Excal uses locktite on the mounting screws on the original mount, and you need to be VERY careful removing the screws to avoid problems like stripping out the screw heads, they are soft. Trust me... LOL

I have replaced a few of these spring design is weak ,unit lever you push in to uncock crossbow is sloppy side to side, I have 6 Excalibur crossbows the early Anti Dry fires were the best I have never had a problem with them ,and bows are shot daily , and there expensive and you have to take crossbow apart after you have it shooting perfectly and the reinstall new one and re sight your bow again big pain in the ass.

Excellent addition to my GRZ2 crossbow. It was easy to install and well made. Big improvement to my crossbow safety. It saved a dry fire not long after I installed it.

I have to be truthful, my crossbow was set at 25 yrds to with in 1/2" just pryer to installing ( it as per instructions ) the anti-dry fire scope mount. I lost 3 bolts out of 10, they were all over the place with every shot. So I removed it and replaced it with the factory mount again and am keeping my tight patern again. bummer, I was hoping for the peace of mind of no dry fires.
