Ordered this clutch and had it installed by a local Mazda specialty shop. Clutch is stiffer than stock which took about a week to get used to. No I do not notice the additional force required. Clutch engagement is similar to stock and I do not notice any difficulty in daily driving.

Throwout bearing is garbage. Get oen bearing from Mazda. Clutch kit is great otherwise. Very grippy and minimal pedal stiffness added.

Good strong clutch. I am using it on stock horsepower and I always felt the stock clutch was a bit soft. This one is perfect. Pedal is a bit heaver, but it's easy to operate, not what I'd consider a heavy pedal.Smooth engagement and very solid when engaged. No slipping whatsoever.
