I picked this clutch due to having an unmodified EJ257 and I am greatly happy with it. Got past the 750 mile break-in period as recommended by EXEDY and staying under 4K RPMs(my recommendation). Now I'm 2200 miles in on the new clutch and still feels like the day I put it in. Absolutely no clutch chatter and holds OEM power levels very well in my opinion. Extra plus because it is a very comfortable clutch for stop and go traffic. Had an ACT six-puck and Streetlite flywheel (from the prior owner) and had to say it was the most uncomfortable thing to have in a stock car. Please note that this clutch is not made for repetitive abuse and launches, for those that love to do 5-7K launches, it is as it says "OEM Replacement Clutch".

You're not going to find a better deal than this. This clutch can withstand launches and heavy driving. It is a simple enough install (after the headache of dropping the tranny) and works just fine. Additionally, shipping was prompt. Good buy.

A few years back i replaced my OEM clutch (2005 Subaru STI) with Exceedy's stage 2 clutch. I upgraded with the intent to get 400HP to the wheels. Later on as i got older i wasn't sure if i wanted to keep the car plus being a Jersey car there's rust all over the place and therefore didn't think to spend $$$ to get the 400HP to the wheels would be worth it since most compact cars are getting that or at least close to that stock out of the showroom so i figured... let's just keep the car for the purpose of me liking Rally and this was a WRC champion car back in the day... So when it came time for the engine to come out, i figured it would be best to replace my clutch. This new Clutch went in after 40K of light driving because i had a bad engine since 100K. the Exceedy stage 2 clutch started to feel like something was up with the pressure plate. My clutch was only catching at the very bottom (Pedal) and i started to jerk the car during shifts and was thinking if i was getting old, or if something else was wrong... so turns out it was the clutch, because this one feels like OEM. When i first got in, it reminded me of an European Rental where i thought the clutch was broken... super light, but it shifted. Now that i gotten used to it, it is the same feel as when i first got the car.

Perfect fit and excellent quality. I used this clutch when swapping a 2006 STi transmission in my 2003 WRX. It has no problem handling "stage 2" power from the 2.0L, and the pedal actually feels a little lighter than the stock 5 speed clutch.

I got a kit that was made of God know what parts ,beside orginal pressure plate all other parts are not exedy ,yeah box is but from honda kit ,plus clutch plate is from nissan ,they don't cooperate ,when I wanted to return the item they responded after 48 hrs and wanted to charge me for shipping and restocking fee.I won't pay a dime to them any more ,there is way more into this subject I contacted exedy directly and have a lot of details ,if you already got this before you install check all the parts numbers if they are as should be ,if you want to know all details inot this kit contact me I have all info from exedy.dispute is still under amazon investigation and I see they don't sell as grip racing anymore .there is a list of what parts should be in the fjk1000 kit by exedy tech. The FJK1000 clutch set includes the following parts,>>>> Pressure plate assembly : FJC526      (laser etched on part)>> Clutch disc assembly:                     FJD030U   (laser etched on part)>> Release bearing:                             BRG601     (part number not on part however it will have a “DK” logo on the part)>> Pilot Bearing:                                    PB024        (no part number on part)>> Alignment tool:                                 PT095        (only marking on part is a “95”)
