This is a 4-compartment sturdy steel wire frame with a powder coated finish and a separate diatomaceous earth base. This is good for large utensils. Because the base has no rim some small utensils can slide off the base between the wire frame. I found this to be larger than I thought and I do not have that many utensils. I tried to put other smaller utensils and realized best only for larger utensils.The powder coating feels like a rubber so easily dries, I would have preferred a silicone.The base of diatomaceous earth is brittle so care must be taken in handling.
