My wife had eye surgery this week. Her instructions were to wear an eye shield at night when she sleeps, so she would not accidentally poke her eye. The hospital provided a clear eye shield and tape. Unfortunately, the tape was so strong that removing the next morning tore off some of her skin. After that, she refused to use any tape on her face, so she has not used this product. However, I used the tape provided with this eye shield on my face, hand, arm, and stomach and left it on for eight hours. The tape held firmly, except on my hand where it fell off after two washings. It was easily removed from my face and stomach, where I did not have any hair. The tape on my arm (with hair) was somewhat painful to remove, but nothing like what happened to my wife with the hospital supplied tape. The tape has a small white square, and I thought that was the start of the tape. I tried for a couple of minutes to unroll the tape starting at the white square and could not get it started. My wife took over and felt for the end of the tape using her fingers instead of her eyes. She quickly found the tape's end.If you need to wear a taped on eye shield, I recommend trying out the tape on several parts of your spouse's body before taping it on your own face.

I probably won't use it because who wants tape around the eye? I should have read the description more carefully.

This is a standard eye shield shipped in no-frills packaging. Works fine.
