Went through 3 steel door jambs and it didn't dull the blade at all. The outermost tooth broke off on either side pretty quickly, but i expected that. The part you actually cut with is still in perfect shape. Thier old ones would have lasted just as well, but these cut a little nicer, you don't have to change blades to make a faster cut on wood or vinyl. Shaped more like a wood blade than the older style. Much thinner kirf too. If you apply twisting motion the teeth will snap easily, because carbide is very brittle. So just cut straight when cutting metal, and they will last a very long time.

There are basically 3 types of blades for these saws, wood, combination, and metal and if you do any real work with these saws, you will need all three. As the name says, these are metal cutting blades and will not do a good job of cutting wood or laminates and will probably overheat in that use but when cutting metal, they work very well. I had to cut away about 20 brad nails from a piece of trim wood that were close together and this blade made quick work of that and went on to cut off a few deck screws with ease with no loss of teeth and are still quite sharp.

I used one of these to cut through 3" stainless steel tubing used for a muffler. While it didn't seem to have much problem, it did take it longer than I expected to get a good bite. It could have been the angle though, so I'm not going to fault the materials used in the build. The reason for the loss of a star, and this is an annoyance with many of these blades, is after one use the paint is gone which details the material this blade is used for. With so many blades that look similar, yet cut different materials, it's easy to confuse these in the toolbox after swapping them out and not using for awhile. It would be nice if it was stamped somewhere. My Star Rating Scale:5 stars - Perfect, or as close to perfect as possible and would definitely recommend to anyone.4 stars - Works well, but could see some minor changes that could make the product better. Would recommend to others.3 stars - Functional, but areas of concern or major changes that could make the product better. Recommend researching other options. OR, neutral ranking, nothing really special or bad about the product.2 stars - Barely functional, recommend researching other options.1 star - Avoid at all costs!

Cant say that it will or will not last 50 times longer, but can say that it is a nice blade and cuts very well. I have two different brands of oscillating tools and it fits both of them. So it is a universal fit blade. It is difficult to have a complete opinion of something like this until you have used one until it is no longer useful. Especially when it is their longevity that is a primary selling point. But if you do not use them that often, how long will that take?As I say, so far, these cut well and I am pleased with them. But most of us no not even answer how long a traditional blade lasts us? Then would we know that this one lasted 50 x longer?? I am only going by the here and now...I like them so far.

I had to nip a quarter inch of of 3 inch Simpson wood connectors for an off label project and they went through that like butter as well as I was able to make my wood cuts without switching blades. I am sold and my tool of choice is a M-18 multi tool. Thanks

These are a nice set of blades. Set comes with 3 hard metal cutting blades and two adapters (for specific tools). My tool is a Chicago Electric Multi-Tool. The hole pattern lined up perfectly and armed to have a similar play/tolerance to the factory supplied blade. Once secured it functions as expected.

I recently need to cut through some hardened steel drywall screws and one of these blades made an easy job of it. It cut quickly and remained sharp. This was a limited test, but they performed much better than a traditional bimetal blade and got the job done effortlessly. Of course, only time will tell if they actually last 50x longer than a regular blade, and they are bit pricey, but if you need to cut through hard metal, they might be the best choice.

These fit my dewalt oscillating tool well. They are well made and sharp. The carbide teeth seem well bonded to the steel blade. I even like the paint job on these. They look nice (even though that doesn’t change performance). They cut through metal very well and hold up far better than non-carbide blades for sure. They seem to be on par with other carbide blades I’ve used and they are at a decent price point as well.
