Poor manufacturer's packaging resulted in damage. Item was shipped in a plastic bag; just the tube in a bag and that in an Amazon plastic bag. Not even a bubble wrap bag. Good weight of brass and excellent chrome. However, major scuff on one side about three inches long. Will have to rotate the tube so bad spot won't be visible. Tube fits tub drain, but threads at BOTH ends were dented. Will have to use standard drain trap pipe cone washer to ensure it seals properly, and not rely on just the threads. Kind of defeats the purpose of having the threads in the first place.UPDATE: THIRD one and it is dented! AGAIN it was shipped in a plastic bubble bag. Manufacturer needs to package this tube in a BOX and not a plastic bag! Already have FOUR damaged through shipping.

If you split it, it will work as an extension for the exaust on a kaleido roaster. Fis tightly and won't slip.

Arrived with a one of the threaded ends dented in. Given that it is 17 gauge chromed brass, it had to be hit pretty hard for that to happen. It is otherwise a great product. Fortunately, I was going to cut off one end.
