This was *not* difficult to put together. At all.I thought it would take two people to put it together because so many reviews said that, but I went at it alone anyway. For reference, I’m 5’5”, 110lbs., with no upper-body strength and I had absolutely no problem putting it together by myself. The directions were fine. Every part fit perfectly. I did not need another person. I did not need additional tools. I did not need long arms to manage it.I have no idea why people are having difficulty with this. It’s a little tedious because it requires a lot of bolts but it’s not difficult. As for the composter itself, it’s exactly what I was looking for. It’s a decent size, sturdy, and spins effortlessly. I saw someone complain that water leaks out of it but that’s a feature, not a bug. Compost needs oxygen. Without holes, it wouldn’t work. It also arrived shockingly fast. Faster than anything else I’d ordered that day. While this feels unnecessary, here are some tips for putting it together:- If the holes don’t line up, turn the piece around. (This applies to anything you’re putting together.)- The panels are held together with nuts and bolts. Push the bolt through, screw the nut on the other side to secure it. To tighten it, hold the nut and use the screwdriver they provided to tighten.- In the hardware packet, there are two long bolts. Take them out and set them aside. All the little bolts go with the nuts with the flat textured edge, which is most of them, but there are two nuts that go with the long bolts and they *don’t* have the flat edge. If you’re screwing it together and the nut feels weird, it probably belongs to the long bolt.- The edge of the last panel fits under the rim of the first panel, not over it. This is pretty intuitive, but I’m mentioning this in case it isn’t.- The only part that felt semi-tricky was the final one, when you set the composter onto the stand. Push the long bolts through the holes in the center pole, lift it up (it’s light), position the composter over the stand, and guide it so the bolts catch the holes in the stand. Then adjust until the bolts slide through and screw on the nuts.I don’t usually write reviews but I feel like someone needs to mention that it’s actually pretty straightforward to put together. And it’s also an awesome product. I’m buying another one right now.

I ordered two and have had them long enough for one of the batches of compost to be ready (see pic). Overall I was very pleased with what was produced. It has the consistency of manure (except for the eggshells, which always take a long time to break down). It looks rich; I think it will be very beneficial for my raised beds. The bins were not bad to put together, and they seem sturdy. I did leave the middle divider out of the second one I put together (since I have two); I think it will be easier to get the compost out when it is ready. That is my main complaint. I could not figure out how to get the compost out except to reach in with gloved hands and pull it out. It was a little time-consuming. The doors are fairly small, and it would help if they were a bit bigger. But overall, I think these bins will serve any gardener well.

I was expecting it to be hard given all the screws and neg assembly reviews for this and other similar octagonal tumblers, but it wasn't hard at all.All the parts were there, there were plenty of extra screws provided, and nearly all the screws are identical, so no confusion. All panels except the door are the same and each panel attaches exactly the same way so it's easy to do. But since there are a lot of screws to attach it's just a bit tedious. Took me maybe 60 min. I enjoyed it, though, and my Chihuahua puppy helped by jumping in my lap as I assembled it. The best thing is that ALL the predrilled holes lined up perfectly. No problem there.Couple notes on the assembly:--don't forget to put the center divider section in after the 4th or 5th panel is in. Don't wait till end! By the way it is captured in place by the panels around it and a slot it fits in.... no screws... so at first it feels too loose. But it works.--The tubes that make up the frame have nice spring loaded snap together locks. Easy assembly.--Pay attention, however, to the instructions on how those tubes attach together. I didn't read them and ended up with a final piece that would not lock in. Thought I had a wrong piece. Took it apart and followed instructions and it worked fine.--an electric screw driver with Phillips head will speed up assembly.--in the bag of screws and nuts are two lock nuts that are just a tiny bit larger than all the others, they are for the long frame-attachment screws. Pull those out and set aside for the very last assembly step. They look identical to the other nuts, but they won't fit the other screws. To find them note that they have no serrations on them, all the others do.That's it, enjoy the assembly, not bad at all. This unit was better priced than the others, I think because it's factory direct, but looks just as sturdy and well made. So far so good.
