This has been a very enjoyable color pencil set. I keep getting more varieties to try. I enjoy color pencils as a media.The colors are soft but not mushy and don't break away. The pigment is rich. I really like how they blend when handled softly. You can really build up and blend and burnish. Good value.A tip I learned is that paper type and quality is actually has more impact than the pencils. Keep that in mind.Being a very good brand, I expect these will be colorfast and hold up well. I'll buy replacements when they run out.Get coloring and have fun.

I purchased them for my kids and the performance is great. Super soft, no scratching on paper, bold rich colors, ideal for little hands.

I must say, Im really impressed with these pencils.I was hesitant after watching and reading reviews and Im glad I took a chance.I followed a bubble drawing tutorial on Youtube and by far these were the best to use on black paper (although my other brands are brilliant, I found these were more opague and stood out more). That said, I found them to be just as vibrant and bright on white, grey and natural (canson graduate) paper too.They layer very well, but keep in mind, most black papers are smooth and can limit layering. If you are looking for extreme vibrancy, ensure to use a smooth paper that has a slight tooth. I also found using white artist spirits over the colour, allowing it to dry, does allow you to come in with more layers on a smooth paper.These are extremely soft and I did find I had used quite alot of the pencil after this picture.They blend extremely well with mediums like white artist spirits and baby oil.In terms of sharpening, I used a standard Weibo barrel sharpener and an electric sharpener and obtained a very very sharp point, no breakages.However, keep in mind with a soft core, pressing hard on the paper with the sharp point does at times lead to the tip snapping, but its no big deal.They also work well with Lyra polycolour.I was so impressed with this paper that I will be looking at getting the 100 set and already purchased the pastel and neon set (local store here in SA)This pencil will be great for beginner artists as well as more experienced artists.

I wanted to give them the opportunity. I had bought the portrait and primary colors sets. And they were ok, I'm a Prismacolor sucker, but well price.So here I'm with these new colors, they are very, very good, not perfect, for my taste they do not blend thaaaat well, but okeish.The weird thing and I guess I missed that part, they are not rounded, so I'm getting a little time to get used to that. I tent to hard grip my pencils, so it's kinda hard for me.Overall if you are not the picky as me, they are wonderful colors, vibrant and practical

I loved the colors. They worked great on black paper. However, even with very light pressure, the tips kept breaking. It was frustrating so I ended up giving them away.

Colours are beautiful and look amazing, especially on grayscale pictures. I actually bought a second pack of Faber-Castell because I was impressed with them.Sharpen well. Nibs last and are lovely and soft.Durability is very impressive.Recommended.
