This product is overpriced & ridiculous. They supply SAE bolts for metric holes. I was hoping with the Fabtech name there would be some quality, but no the kit is a joke. If you want to take the time to make the kit right, it’s worth something. I feel ripped off and will never buy Fabtech again! The instructions are completely worthless. It’s an overpriced kit that has to be modified. I would gladly pay for a good kit and thought for the price they charged, that it would be a good kit. Sadly this kit is a rip-off!!!!

This Fabtech dual shock mount setup is really very good. It is not a "true" hoop setup, as the hoops are one-piece. This one has the center mount and two bracer arms, but it essentially functions as a hoop-type setup. Also the item pictured in the splash screen for this product with the coil spring is NOT the item you are going to get. It is the one in the item description with the "A-Frame" looking brace. Also, read the description as it is black, not Fabtech blue.Ok so I always read reviews before I buy anything I am not 100% familiar with and if you are reading this, you either know what you are doing and what want on your rig and you are wondering if this is high enough quality to put on it - or you aren't sure what you want and are looking for suggestions. I was the former and let me tell you right up front - this kit is heavy-duty. I wouldn't hesitate any longer to click buy. Installation took me an afternoon, but I like to take my time and teach my boys as I go. Someone like you who knows what they are doing will probably only take a few hours to get this on. There is some drilling involved so read up on the instructions first. I'll cover that next. You will have to relocate your brake line support bracket. This is held on by a 1/4" bolt from the inside of the frame. Grab a socket and extension and it'll come right out. The instructions say to measure 1" forward and 3" down to relocate, but be careful when you do because there is a cross-piece member in that region that you might drill too close to to get the bolt back in. Also my bracket had a tab that sticks into the frame, so I actually had to drill a 1/4" and a 1/2" hole to relocate it properly. It was a piece of cake, just feel for that cross-piece before you sink the bit. The rear support on each side actually lined up perfectly with an existing triangle-shaped hole on my frame, so I just used my 1/2" bit to round those out and mount away. I had to drill a hole for the front A frame support on each side also. One you get everything loosely mounted per the instructions, you can swing the support brackets down to the frame and mark the exact spot to drill, then swing them up out of the way to drill them.I had to create some additionall access through the wheel well where the top of the shocks stick through. The driver side was a pain in the rear, as there were several electrical lines and hoses in the way and many were mounted to the wheel well I was trying to cut through. Use caution so you don't cut your lines! Getting wrenches on the top of the driver's side was a challenge so plan on having some help for that first one. The passenger side was much, much easier to get access to. Also the bolts fit very snugly through the bottom of the shock assembly but it can be done with proper application of force through a hammer-type device.Last thought is that Fabtech of course says that you have to use their shocks on this kit. Of course they have to say that. I installed mine with Bilstein 5100 offroad shocks and it fit just fine. Of course if you buy a sweet kit like this and put low end shocks on like Rancho's, the truck gnomes will come to your house and give you flat tires and missing left socks. The pictures I've attached are from my truck and is what you're getting, minus the shocks of course. 2005 Ford Excursion (2004 suspension) w 6" lift, 37" Super Swamper SSR's, & Bilstein 5125's.Hope you enjoyed the review. I usually respond to questions if I know the answers.

I lifted my EX and wanted to add dual shocks for added dampening due to the weight of the diesel. My only question was would this fit my Bilstein 5100 series shocks... YES! they fit :) if you are looking for a cost effective way to add dual hoops this kit is it. Bolt on with little drilling and looks great. If anyone is wondering, this kit is for both Driver and passenger sides, the listing is a little confusing.

Much stronger than the cheaper not strut shock mounts sold on ebay. This were more of a hassle to install but the satisfaction that these brackets are going to hold up makes it all worth it.
